22 kids, 1 adult hurt in China school knife attack

BEIJING (AP) -- A knife-wielding man injured 22 children and one adult outside a primary school in central China as students were arriving for classes Friday, police said, the latest in a series of periodic rampage attacks at Chinese schools and kindergartens.

The attack in the Henan province village of Chengping happened shortly before 8 a.m., said a police officer from Guangshan county, where the village is located.

There is no absolutely no equivalency to 5 year old’s getting shot in the head and Chinese kids being wounded ..

Its going to be hard protecting the 2nd Amendment but making ourselves looking like idiots will surely not help..

I read your post and I felt it required a reply. “Get a f**king grip people...” What, pray tell, leads you to believe people other than yourself do not have “…a grip…” on this situation? To be honest I believe the article cited is extremely apropos. “There is no absolutely no equivalency to 5 year old’s getting shot in the head and Chinese kids being wounded ..” Did you really mean what you said? Two schools, two attacks, children harmed in both cases and because in one attack the victims are dead and in the other they will carry scars both mental and physical for life you cry regarding equivalency? In my opinion the living children will suffer from the trauma longer and their outlook on life will be affected to a greater degree, possibly to their and their families’ detriment. P.T.S.D? Who knows? But the Chinese incident does point to the reality that these hideous acts will continue to occur and the types of weapons used and the physical body count is irrelevant. If you are aware of the ‘whys and wherefores’ for its existence then you know it needs no defense. Your natural right to the possession of arms for both the defense of yourself and yours doesn’t require paper and pen nor the effort to convince some elected sop you have that right; only the backbone to stand your ground and say no when anyone attempts to disarm you. I suspect you will look more of an idiot when you hand over anything demanded of you by your betters because you were unable to convince them to your way of seeing things. As to getting a ******* grip… Well I have a very firm one around the comb of the stock and do not intend to relinquish that grip until my heart no longer beats. How about you?

So it might be we should consider more as to what we are going to do when the idiots pass they’re silly laws and less whether we believe a post is relevant or not. In the final analysis, when we are standing back-to-back, “Front Toward Enemy “ so-to-speak, all of this debate will have proven irrelevant. Eh?

The poster wasn't trying to belittle the terrific horror of the CT tragedy.
In fact this isn't the point of the post whatsoever...then again, I can understand the context of the comparison as such.
The whole point of posting the tragedy in China is to simply show that guns aren't the only way to harm or kill innocent children in a school.
You don't want to make any political hay about the tragedy in CT? Fine.
You're a super-duper-saint.
But political hay is being made by the gun-grabbers already and will be even more so tomorrow this time.
Those of us with common sense (enough to know we're at war with liberal progressiveness) need to have our ducks in a row.

You’re not the only one around here totally sickened by today’s events. Not only are we dealing with the anguish of the massacre, but we also find ourselves under the surprise attack of anti-gun opportunism. The cunning bastards deserve a response.
