It is the ultimate example of how you reap what you sow: Huge numbers of American workers who voted for Obama are now seeing their own jobs slashed below 30 hours a week as employers desperately try to avoid "Obamacare bankruptcy."
Obamacare mandates for businesses only apply to those working 30 hours a week or more, and while many businesses do not want to cut workers' hours, they are being forced to in order to stay afloat. This necessary action is causing businesses to lose money and become less competitive while at the same time destroying American jobs.
Some businesses are also slashing job positions in an effort to get below the 50-employee threshold above which Obamacare mandates kick in. So across the country, we're not only seeing workers lose hours thanks to Obamacare; we're also seeing workers losing their jobs.
But the Obama administration will announce these results to be a huge "job creation success!" because workers must now find two part-time jobs that usually pay less than the one full-time job they used to have. The raw job numbers, however, will be spun by the White House into a victory pronouncement of "twice as many jobs exist now!"
Be careful what you vote for

My wife works for a small family business that employed 55 workers.
Six were let go a few weeks back to get under 50. No news camera’s standing out on the curb. Nobody keeping count - just another 6 jobs gone.
Boo hoo...elections have consequences.
It was a vote of economic serial murder, at least second degree murder that is (Intent to do economic harm to half the country that pays taxes, with intent to wound but not kill, but winds up killing anyway by bleeding us, economically speaking, to death)

I suggest that those who get the axe should march on D.C. and protest the government intrusion that cost them their job, if they don’t do anything about it than frankly I am tired of fighting for their sorry butts.... I also suggest that business owners explain to their employees that the exact reason that they are being laid off is because of government taxation and overregulation, I would say also to be sure to thank an Obama voter for ensuring that you are on the unemployment line.... but of course as the unemployment sky rockets the average American won’t be told by the Liberal media complex and the government will continue with creative ways to fudge the numbers as labor participation drops at twice the rate of new hires.... As the unemployment checks run out and more people jump on the SSDI or Welfare roles that ultimately is unsustainable and will destroy the country... bottom line what we are watching is national suicide.

If one considers the purpose in the mind of a leftard....
there is X amount of work to do. I have Y people to do that work in 40 hours.
To your average leftard then they think that if you cut their hours by 25% then they will hire 25% more workers to do the same X amount of work.
When the reality is that their hours get cut 25%, the work X remains the same and the staff level remains the same. So the employer demands higher productivity.
Leftards never follow things through to their logical conclusion.

I envy you; I have black employees, but with one exception they are happy to have a job and do it well.

Instead of one company that does a few things, put a wall up, divide the Co., two parts (two companies, Inc.).

I’m part of that group at 26 years old and I haven’t voted for a socialist turd, ever.
Okay, I tell a lie. I voted McCain and Romney because Obama was worse.
But having said that, what am I supposed to do now? The only reason I have a computer is because I work my extremely part-time job from it for all of $100 a week, and that’s the BEST job available to me at the moment. Other than that, I’m unemployed, have crushing student debt, and what few savings I had were used to try to pay down all the other debt that Obama’s first term forced me into.
So what do you propose that I do now? I want to be a maker and not a taker, but there’s nothing I can do! I can’t even serve in the armed forces because of my health problems.

As much as it pains me to say this, people aren't smart to realize that one simple truth, that the government cost them their jobs. AND THEY WON'T! It won't be until (and possibly not even then) the masses wake up and realize that the Obama they voted for doesn't care about them. He only wants to be king and will destroy anyone and everyone to achieve his goal.

Not being a wiseass - I’ve BEEN there. Hell. I dug graves and cut grass in a cemetery back in the day just to make a living and pay my bills.
You take the BEST job you can get - and you get it by going door to door at EVERY business in your area, and you KEEP doing it every day until you get something.

You’re part of the group that got affected by what the assholes and idiots of THAT group voted for, and I do feel sorry for you. And I worked with others just like you. Kids with degrees, right out of college, and in debt, who just found themselves unemployed. Nobody’s safe and secure right now.
Do whatever you can - pump gas, change tires, work the cashier counter at MacDonald’s or Burger King, take whatever position you can get for now, and work the hell out of it to make ends meet.
Cut back on things you don’t absolutely need.
Parents still around? Move back with them if they’ll let you and start socking cash away, whatever little bit you can.
That’s how you survive tough times, kid. You get tougher, and you use whatever skillsets and talents God gave you and those you made for yourself.

Of course, they'll be branded as being "greedy" and "selfish" if they do that. Notwithstanding the fact that the proper purpose of a business is to make money for the stakeholders, and that's as it should be. Businesses which make money will have more money to invest, and thus be able to better able to serve their employees and customers. Taking away a business' ability to make money will leave it less able to serve employees and customers.

I have empathy for all conservatives that voted for “love of country” and now suffer because of Obama and his democrats.

Sorry about the overly-emotional response. Just that it’s been rough lately—economics plus liver problems—and it’s easy to take things the wrong way in this state of mind.
It’s embarrassing, but my mother and step-father have let me move back in with them. I hate it, but it’s the best of my limited options. I’ve gone to seminary in order to keep my student loans from coming due, and it lets me earn the occasional few hundred dollars from doing pulpit supply too.
That plus writing on commission has managed to keep my head above water so far. But it’s a very narrow thing, and getting narrower.
