G.O.P. Senator Who Voted for Gay Marriage Concedes Defeat
By THOMAS KAPLAN
A Republican state senator who provided one of the pivotal votes to legalize same-sex marriage in New York State conceded defeat on Thursday in a three-way race where a conservative-leaning candidate siphoned away thousands of votes.
The outcome means that only one of the four Republican senators who went against their caucus to support allowing gay couples to marry will return to Albany.
The senator who was defeated, Stephen M. Saland of Poughkeepsie, congratulated his Democratic opponent, Terry W. Gipson, after election officials in Dutchess County finished tallying paper ballots in a vote-counting process that had dragged on for weeks because of legal challenges.
Mr. Saland lost the support of the states Conservative Party because of his vote over same-sex marriage, and he barely won the Republican primary in September. The challenger who nearly beat him, Neil A. Di Carlo, stayed in the race as the candidate of the Conservative Party, and ended up winning more than 14 percent of the vote on Election Day.

Actually, I want it to hit him. Here, I'll help with my size 11.
It makes Rinos really mad when they see their powerlessness to control their GOP base. Rather than adopting the cause of constitutional freedom (which globalists find uncontrolable and therefore, unwanted) they try to adopt the Left’s social agenda to weaken their own base and rooted freedom ideology.
