Secretary of State Hillary Clinton says she doesn’t plan to run for president in 2016, but she leaves open the opportunity.

In an interview with ABC’s Barbara Walters set to air Wednesday night, Clinton explains, “I’ve said I really don’t believe that that’s something I will do again. I am so grateful I had the experience of doing it before. I think there are lots of ways to serve, so I’ll continue to serve,” The Hill reports.

That’s good news? Looks like Obama will once again have token opposition when he runs for re-election.

She was runover in the primaries by O and I don’t think she wants a repeat.

She has turned into an old lady over the last four years and the prospect of being trapped in the White House is probably pretty frightening.

Her record as Secretary of State is horrible. She and the big O have put us on a possible road to a third world war.

Just like 'I don't intend to...'

I think the reason she's leaving her current office is to go around making a bunch of speeches to raise money for the 2016 run (people are already saying it's her turn), and getting some plastic surgery.

Because the way she looks now, there's no way she could be elected. Stay out of the spotlight for a little while, come back looking great = President Hillary.

If she were going to run, wouldn't she be taking better care of herself?

She's really let herself go lately -- and it will be hard to get herself back together.

She may have gotten to like being messy, and there are enough photos of dowdy Hillary circulating to embarass any Clinton presidential race.

She’s too old now for SCOTUS. Anyone brought in by a POTUS of either party will be in his/her 50s, the longer to ‘serve.’

Hitlery’s ego and lust for power have been tamed?? Bull pucky! The power elite who choose and appoint the president must have informed hitlery that they have other plans. Who will they choose? Or will they even bother going through another sham process in 2016.

I dunno. I think she could win a general, but may not be able to survive the primaries. Maybe step in at the last minute in a brokered convention. Does anybody really think Biden will be the nominee?

It sounds to me like she’ll schedule another “listening tour.”

Personally, I do not think she (HC) wants to run again, nor does she have the energy to campaign for a couple years. But she possibly would run for one term while Michelle 0bama could serve a couple years in the Senate for IL then make her own run for the WH. I see this is as greater possibility with the M0 element, as some FReeper posed a week or two ago.

I agree. She has been haphazard about her appearance. I think that she would make an effort to look better, if she was really planning to run.
