Probably would not happen with a rat governor.

Big Labor’s top officials huff and puff about Right to Work laws, but they never tell you what they actually do. That’s because nearly 80 percent of Americans support the Right to Work principle when it’s presented to them in straightforward terms.

In Michigan, polls consistently showed around 40% of union members supported right to work.

Just something to take note of. Michigan is inspiring some interesting chatter around the nation.

The government shouldn’t be telling employers how to run their business.

If you want to work in Barry’s America, you’re going to have to give the union mafia its cut. If you don’t, they’ll send Tony Knuckles over to your house to make you an offer you can’t refuse.

But how will the corrupt politicians and union bosses be able to skim off pension funds? (/s)

Compared to the NY city unions, the Mafia was a benevolent community service organization.

Yesterday, Missouri House Speaker Tim Jones stated Missouri not likely to follow Michigan. He gave as his principle reason a Democratic Governor-Jay Nixon. Even though Republicans have supermajorities in both Houses and thus could override any veto by the Governor they don't have the will to push RTW legislation. Wimps!

Republicans are admitting they need a Democrat to lead them! Jones says they need to work with the Governor. Great. Just great!

Theater is a major business in NYC, and the weight and demands of union hiring (more than a dozen for a Broadway show) are a real drag on how many of what type of shows can be mounted. (E.g., smaller casts and orchestras than ideal in many cases.)

Along with being a brake on the development and sharing of art—boosting much playgoing out of the affordable range for many City residents—IMO it is an infringement upon first amendment freedom of speech.

Of course, any producer who tried to go to court over it would be a pariah in the business, but still I’d like to see it pressed by someone.

NY is under control of the darkside. RTW will not happen there.

Let's get this going in Massachusetts, too.

Wouldn't that piss off our socialist overlords . . .

We would need a few areas of NY to empty out like Detroit before it would ever be possible.
We would need dramatically less ILLEGAL immigration so that families would not support demon-rat candidates for the promised goodies.
We would need a broke-Albany to not have any money to spend on pork.
We would have to wait until ALL the public school teachers, non-profit directors, public sector employees including COPS & FIREMEN and others (with $100K + pensions) who work for tax dollars to retire and move to Florida, North Carolina and Arizona.
When and if all this happens, then there might be enough power left in the electorate to move the pendulum back to sanity and have a shot at RTW. By then we will all be using renmimbis and speaking Hakka, Wu or Jiu. bu yong xie. ming tian jian!

New York is a beautiful place, but the people are a disaster.
