Police say three teens charged in the fatal shooting of a western Pennsylvania woman targeted her after she told them to "get a job" when she saw them trying to bum a cigarette off her boyfriend.

Beaver Falls police have charged 14-year-olds Todavia Cleckley and Marcus Velasquez and Kyle Goosby Jr., 13, with criminal homicide and other charges in Saturday's shooting of Kayla Peterson, 22. She was shot at about 3:30 p.m. that day and died in a Pittsburgh hospital two hours later.

Goosby is in custody and his attorney says he was just "in the wrong place at the wrong time" when Velasquez -- identified as the gunman by police and Peterson's boyfriend -- opened fire.

Beaver Falls Police Chief Charles Jones says officers are still searching for the other two suspects.

Here's a Pittsburgh TV station link with a heartbreaking video of what the family of the murdered white woman and now faces as a result of the carnage from the CERTAIN SEGMENT. As for me, I won't any longer refer to them "troubled youths", "Amish", or a "certain segment" of the population. From the FBI crime statistics, whites are far more likely to be killed by other whites than by blacks. As a percentage of population vs amount of crime they commit-yada yada yada-the point has merit. But to imply that the murder of a white person is in any way “overwhelmingly” done by the following group: BLACKS is just not factual.

If you simply meant “attacks” in general on whites, I’d like to see the data that supports your assertion.

Since newspapers only talk about the race of the people involved when the victim is not white, I wonder how long it will be until they devise a system whereby the names are scrubbed of any tells.

Back in 1986, during the Mets hay days, I was walking from Shea Stadium in N.Y. to my car which was parked near a marina. I saw a male black teen maybe around 14 or 15 years old ask an older white male walking nearby with his girlfriend or wife if he had a cigarette. When the white male said no the teen pulled out a knife and said “Then I'll have take your money”. The white guy pulled out .38 cal snub nose revolver and told the teen, “The hell you will”. The teen dropped the knife, started backing away saying “OK I'm leaving Mr. Please don't shoot me? I was hoping he plugged him anyway. They are predators.
