If you substitute a more appropriate word for “built,” he wouldn’t be that far off.
When the unions say jump....Obama says “How high??”

He is a piece of work. That is for sure. Geez!
was he doing stand up?
Who writes this stuff for him?
Yes, Detroit is a perfect representative of what unions and liberal entitlement philosophy can do for all of us. I encourage all of America to study Detroit closely.
The sad thing isn’t that he says it. We now know a great number of imbeciles believe whatever comes out of his mouth...regardless of any factual basis. For about 2.5 years I thought enough people saw through this crap. Now I am just sad to see that is not the case.
Higher wages, higher pension cost, higher medical cost and lower profits.
“Did unions build Detroit?”
The car companies hire workers to make cars.
The unions make what?......besides strikes, goons and politicians.
What killed Detroit was federal regulation, forced busing, democratic mayors and their sponge-worthy sycophants who can't get enough of taxpayer bacon.
Detroit is pretty much a Worker's Paradise now. Yeah, they are all in charge and they are all cashing in all their Obama coupons.
I would substitute the word “feces” for the word “work” in your sentence.
“Who writes this stuff for him? “
No QC whatsoever?
Well, at least he was truthful.
“to see how unions have helped build
Higher wages, higher pension cost, higher medical cost and lower profits.”
Without the unions, the workers still have jobs.
Without the car companies the workers have..........?
If unions were all that the Food Stamp President and his commie friends say, a right-to-work law would have absolutely no effect on union membership because they would all be lined up to join anyway. Wisconsin unions, how’s that working out for you? Oops, no one will belong voluntarily except for the union bosses and other commies.
The Onion gets funnier every day.

Why wasn’t Bronco touring the Packard Plant?
Barack Obama, Muslim uniion turd
To Big Labor, regarding the Middle Class:
“YOU DIDN’T BUILD THAT”
That 4th picture is a fake. As much of a mess as the city is, there still are no shanty towns.
It is so mind-whacking to get these fantastic, victorious actions by states while trying to not go postal over what zero’s still doing as BLOATUS.
I agree with Obama the Unions are definitely responsible for the plight of present day Detroit!
Does the "Middle Class" have the Right to determine their own preference (Right-to-Work States)?
Given the DumBO curse, the plant will file for bankruptcy soon. Certainly, after they add wind turbines to those diesels.
The sale of A123 systems to China was announced today. I’m Guessin Bronco didn’t bother to mention it while he was trying to interfere with our legitimate state government.
I really hate liberals.
How Unions “The unions make what?......besides strikes, goons and politicians.”
Way, way too much money in relation to what they do!
If somebody has to take the hit for corporations shutting down US operations and moving to third world countries it ought to be "Big Labor". Private corporations have only one primary function, to make as much money as possible for their stockholders while obeying the laws of their homeland. It is nowhere near their primary function to make union members wealthy beyond their dreams of avarice.
Of course nothing stops a union from from "passing the hat" among it's members and forming an "employee owned start-up" to compete with their former "Robber Baron" bosses either. True, it's never happened that I know of, but it is an option none the less.

The reason for the speech is to show the USA what will happen with America. Thanks to Odumbo there will be no middle class. As Detroit has gone so will the rest of America. The Unions destroyed America. But it was also the desire to build more and more and have not enough to cover the liabilities that would come done the road. Pensions, Healthcare costs. Remember the Ford Motor Company dealt with many of the issues with pensions health insurance for retirees. Ford weathered the storm of 2008. GM Chrysler did not.
Oddly enough how many other plants and automobile manufacturing facilities were shuttered in Michigan in the last 6 years. I know about the Wixom( Ford)Plant. I have driven through Saginaw and Flint area and the automobile manufacturing facilities are not the same names anymore. They even look like there a lot less employees working. They are just east of I-75.
Looks like Obama is never ever going to stop campaigning and just do the job he was elected (LOL) to do .He is never going to work with the GOP ,he’s always going to RUN OFF and give another stupid speech
My thoughts exactly. Unions can do for other cities and towns what they did for Detroit - destroy a century of progress in return for one or maybe two more years of inflated paychecks before the Goose that used to lay the Golden Eggs dies.
“Speaking at the Daimler Detroit Diesel Plant in Redford, Mich.,...”
You mean Detroit Diesel which was started by General Motors years ago, but is now owned by the Krauts? Thanks to the UAW, GM ( and the other two as well) have been “shedding” their original parts trying to continue to be viable businesess. Everybody is tooting their horns about Ford, but as I see it, Ford is in about the same fix as the two that were bailed out. Ford is closing plants all over the world to stay solvent, and has already announced that they will never build another production facility in the United States again.
Ah.... That doesn't mean they won't take an existing plant revamp or expand on existing field, and not go to a green-field and start new or rehab an intercity brown-field.
Free men built America.
Unions and government destroyed it.
One GM is still dysfunctional, I have a gnome their trying to jump ship, can't say more how fubar'd it is.
2nd Chrysler, is no cake walk either, it is such a weird run and owned Company, I'll keep my powder dry.
3rd yes the line guys and gals helped, but the only real turn-around Ford made the hard re-invent yourself cost cutting decisions Obama won't do w/ entitlements.
4th, many went along for the ride, a lot of good product came from the minds Bill Mitchell and so many other leaders and engineers that moved the process forward that gave the line guys something good to build and sell.
Obama's focus is such thin soup and vacuous of what really made Detroit Iron, maybe he should stick to riding that weenie bicycle of his...
I thought it was satire. The union is what is driving auto worker jobs to China.
Let’s cut to the chase about Detroit.
What killed Detroit was the white flight that started in the late 50’s as the population of blacks rose rather quickly, and with the increase in the black population came the usual conditions that come along with an increase in a black population: Crime, violence and social unrest.
By the time of the 1967 riots, the white population was already “one foot out the door.” After ‘67, the white folks said “See ya, gotta go” and with them the source of tax revenue and civic pride left as well.
Today, there’s almost no white population left in Detroit. Their political power structure is quite third-world in both their economic outlook and their level of corruption. No sane, law-abiding business owner would want to locate in Detroit. If your business is selling crack pipes and stolen merchandise, then Detroit is a garden of profit.
But if you’re trying to be a legit, law-abiding business owner... Detroit is the last place in the US where you’d set up shop.
“Ah.... That doesn’t mean they won’t take an existing plant revamp or expand on existing field, and not go to a green-field and start new or rehab an intercity brown-field.”
Maybe, but I wouldn’t bet on it. The “Big Three” know that their survival depends on getting out of the US. GM and Chrysler had an opportunity to get rid of the UAW in bankruptcy, but Obama got in the middle of it and crashed the opportunity. I am just hoping that the pissed off judge reopens the whole GM bankruptcy. I was with Romney on this one; GM should have gone through a normal bankruptcy and may still get the opportunity ( that is unless it goes under in the meantime). Ford was somewhat fortunate that it had a good product line when it counted, because the year before the GM/Chrysler debacle, the industry was saying that of the three, Ford had by far the worst labor cost structure of any of them. There is no question that Ford had better top management when it counted. GM had a bunch of limp dicks.
And when Rick Trumpka says, “Sh*t!” Obama squats like a coyote and asks,”What color?”
Unions don’t build crap. It’s the labor of citizens; the men and women the unions corral.

I had no idea Detroit was in South Africa.
What? That is an actual picture? Good GOD!
