They can always claim that Syria brewed its own. Really not hard to do. Insecticide is very similar to nerve gas. Even has the same antidote: atropine. Mix amonia and chlorine bleach together and — voila! WMD! Get a mess of castor beans, and you can make deadly poisons with little more equipment than is found in a kid’s chemistry set.

Those look like burns. I guess they could be chemical burns; but they do not appear to be the poisonous chemical inhalants most folks associate with chemical weapons.

This puts Pres. Obama between a rock and a hard place. On the one hand he has to call the people he supports liars, or he has to honor his promise that the use of chemical weapons would not be tolerated and have consequences.

Mustard has causes serious skin burns. It’s particularly dangerous if inhaled as it burns lung tissue causing the victim to drown. Nerve agent fatalities usually show corpses in unusual positions due to death while seizing.

“Released by the rebels”...a video made right after they bombed their own people with chemical weapons they stole from the government facility they overran a couple of weeks ago.
This is all about trying to give the US a reason for intervening on the side of the Islamists in Syria.
The factory captured by AQ manufactured chlorine gas, but it is believed that the facility was a storage space for other chemical weapons that had been sent to Syria by Saddam and have been in storage since then.
So AQ might have a lot of seriously bad stuff now.
