Women who are women don’t mind admitting a depiction of vice filled women being eradicated. They know that women are powerful and they know that women who seek to destroy virtue are powerfully driven to destroy culture and civilization.
Good women are simply not threatened by this. Not in the least, just this current crop of baby and family killers.
Kids need to read the classics in school. They do around here. Takes their interest in stupid pop literature and tramples it like a graak god trampling a couple of sirens.

I was reminded how censored society has become yesterday, when my 25 year old son and I sat down and watched old youtube vids of Art Linkletter and Bill Cossby doing kids say the darndest things. Most of this could never air on television today.

>> 90-year-old monument that pols have slammed for decades as a sexist eyesore.
But it’s art? The Taliban destroys art that it deems offensive.

At one time, it was a fountain. Hasn't had water for decades.

Liberal, even non-liberal, artists will NEVER again do ANY piece of work with a woman depicted in less than a superior position to a male.....NEVER. ... excepting rap music, where it is perfectly ok to depict women as 'hoes' and 'bitches' ... and politicians are worried about a 90 year old allegorical statue. Somehow, I don't think the statue is the problem.

Many Queens residents are apparently ignorant when it comes to Greek mythology (among other things). I’m willing to bet that a large percentage of ‘em are 0bama voters.

This may be only tangentally related, but I will never forget in the 70s, when the sculpture titled "Government of the People" by Jaques Lipshitz (I am not making this up) was installed at the Municipal Services plaza near City Hall in the center of Philadelphia, then-Mayor Frank Rizzo said, "It looks like an Italian plasterer dropped a load of plaster."
LOLs!

"Then why is Satan always depicted as a male? "Time to portray Satan as female. It's the PC thing to do.
Women scare me (and I'm a female)

Does the flag say "wicked" or "wacked"?
That's a seriously clumpy statue.
As to the original statue in this thread...
Please move it to my front lawn.
To: stanne
Uhm, unless one knows what the statue is about, it’s likely to be seen as a man trampling two women. Flame away, but I can see why it’s offensive. Would a statue of a woman walking on two men be O.K. with the posters on here? I doubt it. Given the state of our education system, I’m not surprised people don’t know what it means.

Does the flag say "wicked" or "wacked"?Hadn't even noticed it! It appears to be an ad for the roadshow of the Broadway musical "Wicked", a recent adaptation of "The Wizard of Oz" that features the witch.

...the sculpture titled "Government of the People"..."It looks like an Italian plasterer dropped a load of plaster."I should add, that when the installation of the statue was publicized, one of my friends commented, "That's the taxpayer on the bottom."
