Jews in Hevron are facing the prospect of another expulsion after the State Prosecution adopted a former senior prosecutor’s opinion in favor of evicting Israeli Jews from Beit Ezra.

Beit Ezra is a Jewish owned building in Hevron that was abandoned in 1947 when Jews were forced from the city, but was restored to Jewish ownership following the 1967 Six Day War.

A court has issued a verdict favorable to the Jewish families living in the property, but the families’ rights to the building have been challenged by a Peace Now lawsuit calling for their eviction. .....

Israel would be much better off forgetting about expulsions from this house, that house, this neigborhood or that neighborhood. Time and energy is much better spent by focusing exclusively on the expulsion of the Jews of Israel into the Mediterranean. That one is real, and not going away no matter who is expulsed or not from a home here and there.

There is no order. The state prosecutor wants to obtain such an order. While an independent judiciary ought to have its rulings respected, I see no reason why a state prosecutor’s office should enjoy such independence. Bibi cracks the whip, and he should be able to order them to stop. The fact that he does not is further proof to me that he wants this to go forward. The matter’s already been adjudicated, but these are Jooos!
