Only 16 Members Can Unseat Boehner, Group Says
Breitbart.com/Big-Government ^ | 12/05/12 | Matthew Boyle

Posted on 12/05/2012 4:06:39 PM PST by Fred

The president and CEO of conservative group American Majority Action (AMA) is demanding Republicans band together to fire House Speaker John Boehner.

“Speaker Boehner has been an abysmal failure as speaker, and his latest purge is the nail in the coffin for conservatives,” AMA’s Ned Ryun said in a statement. “Boehner has never won a negation battle with the White House or Senate—and he’s been nothing short of an embarrassing spokesman for the Conservative Movement. It’s time for him to go.”

Ryun pointed out, too, that if conservatives want to unseat Boehner, they’d only need 16 members to abstain from supporting him in January.

The problem isn’t Boehner. The problem is Obama.

“a little remedial education - the SPEAKER COMES FROM THE MAJORITY!!”

NO, that is not true! The speaker is whomever the majority of all the House members vote for! He doesn’t even have to be a member of the House! If some of the RINOs were pissed off enough, they could vote for Pelousey if they chose.

Maybe Bonehead will remove 12 more conservatives from committees.

Those 12 and the 4 would be the 16 who could vote present.
I urge Nazi Bonehead to go ahead and purge 12 more conservative
members. Go ahead Bonehead, continue on with the purge.

Once Boehner has used up his usefulness to the DEMS, they will thank him by releasing the GOODS they have on him and then he will be forced to resign as Speaker. Been here before with Newt...

In early January, all of the members of the House for for speaker and who has the most votes wins. If a number of republicans abstain, Nancy Pelosi could be elected as speaker.

Nobody chose to challenge Boehner or the other leadership members within the republican caucus. Otherwise there would have been a vote for who would be the republican candidate for speaker.

“The problem isn’t Boehner. The problem is Obama.”

NO, the problem is both of them! Boner isn’t the leader of the opposition, he’s a lap dog who rolls over and shows Obama his belly every time they meet.

Agree. A scandal is the only option left to remove him.
Why let the democrats get all the fun from releasing Bones in Boneheads
closet? I would take so much pleasure in see him follow Jim Wright in disgrace.

Boehner is such a fool.

He is the easiest of easy marks (and the Marxists know what a patsy he is.)

Put Boehner out to pasture, let's have someone young, dynamic, and willing to stand up for American (meaning conservative) principles, and willing to do a little homework. (Cantor comes to mind, so do some others.)

Let us not forget that it was none other than Boehner who traded away 500 Billion dollars in defense money for literally nothing (not even a handful of "magic beans").

I won't say that Boehner is a bad person. Oh, he may appear as if he is perennially battling a hangover, but I don't know that for sure. He is, however, an incompetent fool, he is parsecs out of his league, and he has no (zero) business negotiating with the dark side on America's behalf.

.

Seeing as there are 233 House Republicans next Congress, and assuming no Democrats would vote for Boehner as Speaker, if 16 conservative Republicans abstain from voting, Boehner wouldn’t regain the Speakership.

***********

Sounds like the democrats may have a say as to whom the next Speaker may be. If Boehner is their choice over knowing no democrat will be elected then they can put Boehner back in the Speaker position should they desire.

I actually wouldn’t have a problem with this if it becomes necessary. We just don’t know yet and besides, who would replace him?

Disagree

Bonehead is the lobbyists
Front man and nothing more .
He is working hard for all his ex aides that run all these huge KStreet lobbyist groups .
Keeping the cash flowing to them
Is his source of power and control !
It’s an old known fact in DC.
He is the last person to clean our spending mess .

IIRC, the Speaker of the House is the person who gets the majority of votes.

So why couldn’t Nazi get the votes? I s’pose it could end in a deadlock...but how tight do we want to make that?

And who would we put in his place? I think Paul Ryan is a decent guy.

Look at the effing ADVANTAGE that would give to Obamugabe...all he has to do to assume even more dictatorial powers is to say to the media and the public, “Look, the opposition cannot even decide who their leadership is going to be...this is a crisis, and I must take over all decision making.”

And the media would applaud him like the Senate applauded Palpatin in “Star Wars”.

I agree Boehner might have some problems...I’m not certain this is the best solution.

The best thing for Obamugabe right now is division of his opposition. And he is definitely getting that...which delights him to no end.

Again, it takes two sides to fight, and while Boehner is being a bit of a capitulator, I can’t believe he alone is to blame...

Regardless, I know the happiest people on earth—happy because of this division in the opposition to Obamugabe— right now are, in no certain order:

our enemies overseas
the Democrat leadership—our enemies here in America.

We just need 16 members of congress - Write a letter to Boehner informing him that their vote for speaker will be West.

He should get on board and rally the party, as his last act as speaker. If not his last act as speaker will be to reveal to the world that he would rather have Pelosi as speaker than West.

His choice.

Hardball, come on conservatives, rise to the occasion. If you don’t, the republican party will forever be know as Democrats light.

When Boehner lovingly pats The Problem’s arm...he becomes one with, and part of, The Problem.
