Um: 49% of Republicans Think the 2012 Election Was Stolen? (It was)
Townhall.com ^ | December 4, 2012 | Kevin Glass

>Yes, we lost. But I don’t think it’s necessarily fair to say that ACORN stole the election, do you?

PPP's first post election national poll finds that Republicans are taking the results pretty hard...and also declining in numbers.

49% of GOP voters nationally say they think that ACORN stole the election for President Obama. We found that 52% of Republicans thought that ACORN stole the 2008 election for Obama, so this is a modest decline, but perhaps smaller than might have been expected given that ACORN doesn't exist anymore.

Some GOP voters are so unhappy with the outcome that they no longer care to be a part of the United States. 25% of Republicans say they would like their state to secede from the union compared to 56% who want to stay and 19% who aren't sure.

One reason that such a high percentage of Republicans are holding what could be seen as extreme views is that their numbers are declining. Our final poll before the election, which hit the final outcome almost on the head, found 39% of voters identifying themselves as Democrats and 37% as Republicans. Since the election we've seen a 5 point increase in Democratic identification to 44%, and a 5 point decrease in Republican identification to 32%.

It seems there’s been quite a lot of talk of secession lately. Retiring Texas Congressman Ron Paul even released a short video about how the act of secession is a “deeply American principle” passed on from our Founding Fathers, or something. But for those who actually believe allowing certain states to secede from the Union is a good idea, I would respectfully recommend re-reading the first five or so Federalist Papers, in which Publius explicitly warns about the inherent dangers of (a) disunion and (b) the creation of multiple confederacies.

Furthermore, I would also be the first to admit that the results from the 2012 presidential election were utterly devastating, and took me completely by surprise. But call me crazy -- I don’t think the election was outright stolen, let alone by a political organization that reportedly doesn’t even exist anymore! The fact is that Team Romney made a number of costly mistakes, not the least of which was spending precious time and resources in “battleground” states that weren’t really competitive -- before locking up Florida, Virginia, and Ohio.

The best thing Republicans can do right now is look forward to (and prepare for) 2014 -- when the GOP has a real shot at retaking control of the Senate -- instead of dwelling on the past.

Wouldn’t it have been nice if our original documents had limited all politicians to only one term?

Kaslin I know that a third party would take a while to build.

The fact is that Republican leadership will not allow significant changes in the Repubican party it would be a great loss of power to them.

Personally I do not want to Unite with the Moderate Democrats in disguise that are running the Republican party at this time.
Either they go or I go , and they are not going anywhere. Why should they, haven’t they sold us down the river in the last two elections?

The biggest problem in America today are career politicians.
NO ONE should stay in politics for 30 plus years without finding another job. They hang on to that Government teat as a lifeline to power, and prosperity.. Certainly not what was meant by the Founders.

Well, then, that begs the question - who's doing the "reporting"? Oh, yeah, the MSM, in the bag for the communist left.

I have nothing against a third party, if it had any chances, but all they do is help the rats and to this I say, thanks, but no thanks

Well; the GOP-e keeps giving Conservative worse and worse candidates; so maybe in the future a third party WOULD flip the balance over...

We lost because of massive voter fraud & there isn’t one single Republican doing a single thing about it. One voting district in rural St Lucie County, Fla, has 7 REGISTERED voters & they had 900 votes cast there. You want me to believe that there is no voter fraud & that I can trust the inaction of the Republican party over this issue?

Double Bull crap!!!!!

I am in the process of making a decision of whether or not to Secede from the Republican party.””

Me, too. After being a registered Republican for over 51 years, I am done.

ACORN still exists. Under 20 other names. Morons.

Exactly -- Alinskyites have been doing this for 50 years, and the Communists for years before that. Remember reading about the "dissolution" of COMINTERN? Yeah, right, they "went out of business" -- ask the Czechs and Vietnamese.

The fast shuffle, and creating a cloud of "concerned citizen organizations" to badger the majority is a standard feature of Communist "frontal" politics.

Can't you just imagine this was the scene with Obama and his Commie staff after stealing the election through voter fraud- while Conservatives blame Romney, argue, point fingers, blather on about who to run in four years, 'starting a new party', and try to figure out how to suck up to minorities the 'next time'?

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Map from Barack Obama Voter Fraud 2012

What most refuse to acknowledge is that it was unlikely that ANYBODY could have beaten the voter fraud planned and perpetrated by the Obama machine. They seem to prefer pointing fingers, blaming Romney and blathering on about who to run in 2016 and how to suck up to the minorities.

>Polls indicated that Romney was going to win the election.

>The economy is close to Great Depression era conditions, and unemployment is almost as high as when Obama entered office.

>Economic conditions became so dire after Obama took office it prompted the rise of an entire new movement, the Tea Party.

>Presidents rarely win reelection when the economy is in the tank.

>Mitt knew it too, when he was met by several thousand in that parking garage cheering him when he arrived unannounced at that airport, and he put his hand over his heart and said, 'This is how you know you've won'.

So how did Romney lose a race that numerous reputable polls and pundits predicted would be an easy win, based on historical patterns?

Massive voter fraud.

That and no other reason

Almost every major Conservative website has put out an article charging voter fraud- Breitbart, American Thinker, Atlas Shrugs, WND, The Blaze, Front Page Magazine, Fox News, The Daily Caller, Town Hall, Human Events..

We can not wait for 2014 and 2016 to regroup and figure out new strategies. By then it will be too late. The Marxist/Muslim usurper will have completed his planned distruction of America. That's what people fail to understand.

We must act NOW.

Start with the election. If we let the Rats get away with this massive voter fraud, we're no better than a bananna republic.

We must keep digging and pounding him every day, in every way we can- phony birth certificate, Benghazi, Fast and Furious, his hidden life, records....

Check for the thread that discusses the RiNO capitulation 20 years ago to a pair of Rat lawsuits whining that Republican efforts to counter vote fraud were "suppressing" the rights of po' little peoples. The GOP signed two consent decrees (I never heard about them at all, they "should" have been Page One news), when they should have gone to the mat and given the Democrats a brick in the teeth.

” We lost because the party picked our candidate.
We lost because the party allows New Hampshire and Iowa to pick the candidate in their first primary.
We lost because our candidate said he would rid us of Obamacare, when he friggin invented it.
We lost because our candidate did not fight.
We lost because not one Republican in Congress REALLY stood behind our candidate, not one came out strong attacking the system or the administration.”

Yep to ALL.

(It was)

It wasn't. at least not in the way that phrase is meant.

Or to be more precise, there is no evidence that would logically lead to the conclusion that the election outcome was different than what it would have been if every single vote cast was a valid vote correctly counted.

It is a mistake to confuse the fraud which exists, is widespread, and happens in every election, for "proof" that this particular presidential election outcome was changed by deliberate fraudulent action.

Unless you care to, I'll refrain from posting another littany of the common "specific" charges, and their completely non-fraudulent explanations. Most people don't care to see that information, as it doesn't help the conspiracy talk to get confused by facts.

Part of the reason it gets renewed is because it helps protect Republican incumbents, by creating majority-minority districts that are heavily overweighted for democrats.

Hence, in 2012, we got a sizable victory in the house elections, even though the democrats actually got more than 50% of the total votes for the house.

BTW, my state, the democrats have done such a good job of gerrymandering the state senate, that we had a 50/50 split, when republicans got 58% of the vote to the democrat’s 40%.

49% of GOP voters nationally say they think that ACORN stole the election for President Obama.

True, ACORN may not technically exist anymore in name, but even when it did exist it effectively went under several different names at the same New Orleans address. So there is little doubt that quite a number of ACORN-like organizations still exist working with the Obama campaign and the DNC to pull off significant, if not massive, voter fraud with refined and even more "efficient" techniques by targeting 'Rat-controlled locales in swing states.

So, contrary to the gloating Dummy author of the posted article, it doesn't really matter what the names of organizations are if a bunch of them effectively work hand-in-hand to pull off the same kind of sleazy shenanigans to fix the outcome of a presidential election.

Since the election we've seen a 5 point increase in Democratic identification to 44%, and a 5 point decrease in Republican identification to 32%.

Really, Glass? What's the source for your numbers? Party identification numbers don't figure to change so dramatically in such a short period of time, and if they do in response to alleged election results, the changes are likely to be transitory. Why don't you cut out your gloating and needling and get real? Like explaining how the alleged national popular vote differed so significantly from the reputable pre-election polls if there was no fraud and cheating going on by the 'Rats? Do you have an alternate explanation?
