HOUSE GOP LEADERS PURGED CONSERVATIVES USING SECRET CRITERIA LIST
Big Government ^ | 4 Dec 2012 | MATTHEW BOYLE

House Republican leaders used a secret criteria list to decide which conservatives to purge from powerful House committees, Breitbart News has learned. As this time, it appears they will keep the criteria list hidden from the public, too. Spokespeople for members of House GOP leadership have refused to discuss details about the list on the record with press.

Because GOP Leadership won't discuss the list, it’s unclear what specific criteria the list contained and how much of a role it played in the conservative purge. It’s also unclear which member of House Republican leadership initiated this process.

In remarks to the Heritage Foundation’s Bloggers Briefing on Tuesday, Kansas Republican Rep. Tim Huelskamp confirmed the existence of such a list.

“We’ve heard from multiple sources that someone walked in with a list of votes and said if you didn’t reach a particular scorecard of what was considered the right vote – which by the way, in most cases, was not the conservative position – then [they said] ‘we’re going to have to remove you from the committee,’” Huelskamp said.

“All that took place behind closed doors, which is again a problem with Washington, D.C. – whether it’s the budget negotiations, whether it’s everything else, it’s usually done behind closed doors," he explained. "I think, as conservatives, this is where we can win: We’ve got to be willing and able to talk about things in public instead of being afraid of actual public scrutiny.”

Huelskamp later told Breitbart News he thinks House Speaker John Boehner, Majority Leader Eric Cantor, and Whip Kevin McCarthy owe it to the American people to be transparent about this decision making process – and that they should publicly release the list.

“In the name of transparency and openness, they most certainly should release the criteria,” Huelskamp said in...

Whatever “TEA Party Caucus” exists in the HOUSE needs to vote against Boehner for Speaker.

It is a good idea to call Boehner’s office. I may do it myself tomorrow but I called my congressman’s office today and got a slightly different story which agreed with the Ron Paul story. I’m willing to wait to see the facts before I jump to conclusions. I’m hoping for the best but I sincerely believe Obama and the Dims know they have the Republicans right where they want them because the Rs will get blamed no matter what they do. It is going to take someone with the wisdom of Solomon to out maneuver the RATS on this one.

We can leave the GOP (I have) or ‘we’ collectively speaking, need to sit down and STFU because by our actions in light of the GOP’s behavior, ‘we’ must want to be the right wing plantation dwellers.

That simple folks. All the ‘feet to the fire’ talk is bs and we all know it. But some still refuse to believe their lyin’ eyes and ears.

The enemy is us. I am sick and tired of repeating the facts to the willfully deaf. We can hang together as conservatives and BE conservatives or just admit we are the GOP and we want liberalism.

A lot like Romney. Trashed conservatives during the primaries,
then treated Obama with kid gloves.

Why the focus on ‘criteria’ rather than the actual purging? I think we can figure out the criteria for ourselves.

Has there ever been an attempt to force the party leadership to accept a ‘tea party’ member for a top leadership post?

It’s way past time to purge the Chief Dud, John Boehner. The conservatives he removed from their committee should scream bloody murder. You don’t get anywhere with keeping your mouth shut while being kicked around by an Ohio loser.

Only those members who come from states who voted Republican should be eligible for committee assignments.

As I have been saying for the last 4 years, the republican leadership in BOTH houses and the RNC and RNCC are ALL socialists, New World Order big government socialists.

You didn't notice this when GHWB told us where he wanted to go?

The GOP is the new Judenrat for the MarxoFascists. cableguymn came the closest to the truth by stating that we now have a single party system.

We’re under enemy occupation folks. The GOP are Collaborators with Obama’s New Order.

Do the math. There is NO WORKING from within the GOP unless you want to commit treason to every principle that defines what a Conservative is, not to mention the Constitution itself.

Justin Amash is from Michigan.

to accept a ‘tea party’ member for a top leadership post?

Ryan has been very popular w/ the Tea Party.

He still holds a very powerful position.

I have been utterly disgusted with the GOP-e since the 2008 elections. I think we are experiencing ‘one party rule’. They Dems have gone soooooo far left and the GOP have shifted to keep up with them. IOW......the Dems make the rules and the GOP ‘keep up’. Kinda like the the thugs in HS. People hated them....but secretly wanted to be like them and willingly went along.....just to look ‘cool’.

My mom fought tooth and nail as a Republican activist in our state that was ruled by Dixiecrats. Republicans finally were a viable option to Democrat rule for years and years.

She is disgusted by what she is seeing and says she sees NO difference between the parties, now. She’s elderly, and thinks her work was for naught.
