Hell, I’m on the cusp of 40; I feel that this isn’t the country I grew up in.
The older folks must be/are lost. If it wasn’t for sheer survival, I’d almost like to be “lost”.

I hear you; just past 40 myself, and it is completely foreign to me. Thankfully rather than be in one of the places that resembles Holland, I’m in one that resembles Bogota (there are families and children and Christianity and a work ethic, just in another language).
