Jeb Bush in 2016?
(CNN) -- For all of our post-2012 election talk about the changing culture, the changing demographics and, perhaps, a changing party, preliminary thoughts out of D.C. about the 2016 election have us headed toward not much change at all: Clinton vs Bush ... again.
I am as intrigued by the prospects of these two juggernauts, Jeb and Hillary, locking ideological horns as I am repulsed by the thought of half of my life being dominated by two family names. One, Clinton, has risen from the ashes after the White House. The other name, Bush, is so toxic that the past two Republican nominees avoided saying it in public, opting instead to skip their combined 12 years in office and head straight back to Reagan.
Face it, Hillary has baggage, but Jeb has Bush, and that, moreso than his record as governor of Florida or ideas for the future, will determine, at least at the beginning, how he is received. That explains why more than a few conservatives were not thrilled to hear that he was thinking of running.

I fear you are correct. I just can’t believe that we got this bad. Why can’t intelligent people see the direction we are going and it is not good. I do believe it sucks that President Bush had the beginning ONE MONTH of badness before the election....I know it was over 4 years ago, but not matter how much I argue with people that it was the Democrats in Congress or that Obama has made it worse, the fact is, that people only see Bush’s ONE bad month before the election.....SO FRUSTRATING!
Please, dear God,no more Bushes, no more Clintons, and no more RINOs! I am fairly confident that as the GOP goes on, they will give us candidates that will make GWB and Romney look like Tea Party conservatives.

My "present" vote for POTUS (should "open borders" Bush III be the GOP-e candidate) will not matter.
The reality is decades and decades of Grand Bargains by the DC crowd
on both sides, past and present have brought us to the brink. No special
interest group is willing to give back what they have gained with these
Grand Bargains. So, the DC hacks on both sides are incapable of making
the hard choices. Power over country.
So what other outcome is left if these hacks are unwilling or incapable
of addressing these issues?
A collapse is the only outcome left. I know it, they know it and the only

This is just so freaking sad. Bush? Clinton? There are more than 350 MILLION folks in the US. Let’s assume that only 10% are eligible (yes, low amount)...but that still means 35 million people are eligible to become US President. Are we really down to just two freaking families...Bush and Clinton?

That's a good question, the way 'Our lord and Savior' is going- and if there is, what makes you think the massive voter fraud of 2012 won't get worse?

What most refuse to acknowledge is that it was unlikely that ANYBODY could have beaten the voter fraud planned and perpetrated by the Obama machine. They seem to prefer pointing fingers, blaming Romney and blathering on about who to run in 2016 and how to suck up to the minorities.

The fix is in I guess. This is exactly what happened in 1996 after Dole bellyflopped against Clinton. It was the media that promoted G.W. before the primaries to make a weak opponent for Al Gore. We barely pulled off a Republican win. Not that everything turned out all that well in hindsight but we could have done much better.

2016 - don’t bother marking the “President” selection of the ballot.
I voted GOP down the ticket...but for Constitution Party for POTUS...never support a GOP RINO for President. So run Jeb and you wont get my vote...I am more and more coming to the concluding that the GOP national is nothing but DEM LITE...and no MAS!

This has got to stop somewhere.
I’m wondering if perhaps the 2008 election represented “the high point” numerically for the number of “Republican” votes cast in a presidential election.
The total was lower in 2012.
Put Bush on the ticket and it may be lower yet in 2016.
It’s no longer a question of whether the Republicans will face a threat from a third party.
They are turning themselves INTO the “third” party.
I think the Bush family are the ones behind Boehner and McConnell, don’t you? Who else would have the power to pull strings behind the scenes. They have to keep that dynasty going, you know.
Federal taxes are a shell game, we pay taxes to Washington and then they bribe us with our own money. We pay probably thousands of different kinds of federal taxes that we cannot keep track of how much money we individually pay to Washington. Washington is a big vacuum cleaner just sucking the money out of our pockets. I don’t think the problem will ever be solved in Washington because Washington itself is the problem. The solution is going to have to come from the states. Can the states nullify some of the federal taxes?
Don’t know if states can nullify taxes. But good thoughts.
