What is the point of this story? That it’s the Chief’s fault?

***...and the team provided the couple with counseling in an effort to help, a police official said.***

Is this what Belcher meant when he said ‘thank you for all you’ve done’ to his coach just prior to taking his own life?

Investigators believe Belcher killed himself because he was distraught over shooting Perkins, Sharp said."He cared about her," Sharp said.

You don't shoot someone you care about 9 times!

I guess “relationship problems” is a good way to put that he was sleeping around.

It's obviously the Chief's fault and they owe somebody a boatload of cash.

"Investigators believe Belcher killed himself because he was distraught over shooting Perkins,"

Yeah, he know he was going to lose everything and go to jail for a very long time. So he took the coward's way out.

“...I guess “relationship problems” is a good way to put that he was sleeping around...”

I just saw an article stating that he was sleeping with another ...er...woman the night before.

The headline is indeed written as an accusation.

A local radio show in New York had a credible call from a former resident of Long Island and he basically said that this guy was a racist psychopath from early in life. Another account from an EMT at UM said that he punched a window one time in anger at his girlfriend of the time and cut off his thumb, but was lucky that they could reattach it. So basically the man was a nutter.

I’ll take a share after being abused by Bob Costas.

Should have played in the NBA - those women don’t seem to care.

He was making 1.2 million a year and it was noted they fought about money... once must have been trying to save for after short career the other spend, spend, spend...

Baby mommas have a huge sense of entitlement. That’s why they have athlete’s babies.

Yeah, The Bangor Daily News (bangordailynews.com) has a bunch of stuff on him today. Looks like there was some history there. Of course, the BDN is trying to pump up the hysteria so it's hard to tell the difference between "History pointing at premeditated murder" and "18-year-old-college kid doing stupid things".

They also had an article on the girl he killed. Please note - I am not blaming the victim, she surely didn't deserve to be shot - but I took one look at her photo and said "Man, that girl looks like trouble."

If that’s the case, then surely NCB knew of OJ Simpson’s (who was paired with Bob Costas on the NBC pregame show) problems in 1989 when he had domestic abuse charges against him. Did NBC do anything? Provide counseling?

Drudge has a report that Belcher kissed her on the forehead after he shot her, then he kissed his baby goodbye. Sigh, how sweet. You know, if Obama had a son, he would look just like Belcher.
