ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- It may be hard to believe, but there may be as many as a quarter of a million undocumented immigrants driving around Illinois without a driver's license.

Ponce can't get one because he says he's an undocumented immigrant.

"I've been stopped twice. One was with a state trooper, and the issue was cleared up. And that was because I had a bad light in the back of the car. And the other one was I had an accident, and that case was also resolved. But still I think that this is an appropriate move,” said Alfredo Ponce.

"Everybody has a right to survive where they're at. They idea that everybody has to eat, work, take their children to school, you know, it should be provided anywhere, and I know it's a worldwide issue,” said Mary Lou Castro with the LULAC of Rockford.. Does everybody have right to be a repeat offender as well,"I've been stopped twice bad light in the back of the car and I had an had an accident, but I keep driving becuase everybody has a right to drive ?

“... Ponce can’t get one because he says he’s an undocumented immigrant. “I’ve been stopped twice....”

And why has not this ILLEGAL (I say again, ILLEGAL) immigrant sent back?

What part of ILLEGAL does a liberal not understand?

Oh, I forgot, they have a “liberal arts” education, which means that they essentially do not understand anything beyond Dick and Jane.

Show me in the US or state constitution where driving is a right. It is a privilege you uneducated interloper. Just as education is not an explicit right, but the government is trying to make it a “forced right” under their terms so they can indoctrinate.

Illinois and Texas might as well be two different countries. It is extremely difficult to get a Texas drivers license right now. You have to prove residency with two accepted bills or paperwork in your name sent to your residence. Apparently there was a whole lot of fraud and Texas just tightened the requirements.

I want a license to rob banks. I have a right to make a living the same as undocumented workers. If they can have a license to do something illegal then so should I have the same right. PLUS I would be following the Obamessiahs mandate to redistribute the wealth and get back at the wealthy. This is following the libs reasoning.

And yet, if an American lets an American without a drivers license drive his car knowingly, he can get charged with insurance fraud or at least have his insurance terminated. And driving without insurance is a criminal offense and can also get your drivers license suspended (ie, meaning you aren’t supposed to drive). We are now in a situation where illegals have BETTER rights than US citizens.

If they already disregard and disrespect our laws - and we are fine with that - then WHY SHOULD THEY have to have a license? The lefties can’t have it both ways. They Re a protected class. Like ambassadors sort of. Future agents of liberal change like investments in political CDs or 401k’s.

The problem with illegal immigration is the fact that these people are all involved in theft by deception.

They have illegally crossed the border, taken social services and charity intended for poor American citizens and placed their children in public schools at a great deal of expense to the local school system (TAX PAYER.) They illegally take employment from citizens by under cutting the accepted wage for these jobs and they utilize our health care system with no intention to pay. It is a form of fraud and should be punishable in the same way that all white collar fraud cases are punished, HARSHLY!

This is the way that Illegal Immigration MUST be talked about. They are involved in a continuing crime of fraud, theft by deception, of government services, charitable dollars and cause massive dysfunction at the local level.

Those damaged the most by their deception and crime of fraud are the citizens ‘at the margins of society’, those in the lower classes. The legal immigrant, native born Blacks and Latinos that are in the this country legally. Working class whites in the building and service trades. They compete for jobs and services in these communities. They do not compete in the trade of politicians, CEO’s or journalists, so the plutocrats do not care!

Show me in the US or state constitution where driving is a right.

There's a persistent Right to Travel movement in the U.S. that (IMO) confuses the Constitutional right to travel with a purported right to drive on public roads without a license. Part of the argument involves the many state court decisions that there is a right to use 'public highways', although those cases frequently provide that the manner in which public highways are used may be regulated.

The Right to Travel movement argues that 'regulation' applies only to stop signs, speed limits, and the like, and not to permits, licenses, or any form of government permission to use public highways.

Just Google "Right to Travel" and scroll through a couple of pages of hits.
