According to a law enforcement official close to the investigation, Jovan Belcher was out "partying" the night before he shot Kasandra Perkins. He had been with a woman in the Power and Light District, an area of bars in downtown Kansas City.

I strongly suggest somebody take this evil POS Jovan Belcher’s DNA and puts it in the database before he gets his parade funeral and everybody cries and says what a great guy he was.
I suspect he left a lot of dead bodies lying around over the years.

Women who associate with these types, in this case a wealthy type, take the chance that it will end with a bullet in their head, and a baby left behind, ‘cause his/her unmarried mother and father are dead.
Hey Costas, want to rant about “gun” control?
Not having enough information to form a clearer opinion, I suspect he killed himself because the “baby-momma” had him over a barrel financially (and had told him so). He probably felt he could never have a future with anyone else, and saw no point to continuing; he also made sure the “baby-momma” wasn’t going to see a cent of his money.
Just my thoughts, and before anyone reminds me that his “girlfriend” was a victim I should point out I really don’t care. The hit put out by Rae Carruth 10 years ago showed to what lengths professional athletes would go to avoid this nonsense.
My blood pressure shot up last night as Bill O’Reilly opened his program with the Costas left wing gun remarks.
My knee jerk reaction was that these people who idolize football heroes will do anything to protect them when something anti-social happens. This is why Jerry Sandusky got away with molesting little boys for all those years. In this case it was predictable that guns would be blamed for this murder, because, for the left, absolute power cannot happen until America is disarmed. So, every high profile case is fodder to be used toward that end. I would ask why the media does not work on all the murders which take place in Chicago every weekend, committed mostly by youth. My other “pie in the sky” wish is that the media would simply report the facts of this tragedy without judgment until more information can be had. The politization of everythng for the sake of left wing ideology is maddening and is distorting reality so that the efforts to confront and treat problems are made very difficult. You cannot effectively work on problems until you know what causes them. In this case, I would investigate any history of partner or other abuse, any evidence of alcohol or drug problems and whether this man had a lifestyle of womanizing while not allowing the partner the freedom to leave. Had he ever made threats against her life?
The frontal lobes definitely were not making proper judgments and I doubt it had a thing to do with football injury. Just my two cents.
None of this matters - Bob Costas said that it was the gun’s fault. Only government thugs can be trusted with firearms, donchaknow!
