Boehner, GOP Leaders Purge Conservatives from Powerful Committees UPDATE: Boehner Scoffs
Brietbart ^ | Monday December 3, 2012 | Matthew Boyle

Posted on 12/03/2012 7:45:40 PM PST by Bigtigermike

House Speaker John Boehner and GOP leadership have removed several conservative House members from their respective powerful committee positions, Breitbart News has learned.

Effective next Congress, leadership pulled Kansas Republican Rep. Tim Huelskamp, Michigan Republican Rep. Justin Amash and Arizona Republican Rep. David Schweikert off committees from which they could exert conservative pressure on fiscal matters. Amash and Huelskamp were pulled from the Budget Committee and Schweikert from the Financial Services Committee.

Huelskamp, a freshman elected during the 2010 tea party wave, thinks the leadership move to pull him from the powerful committee is revenge for him standing up for conservatism. “It is little wonder why Congress has a 16 percent approval rating: Americans send principled representatives to change Washington and get punished in return,” Huelskamp said in a Monday night statement. “The GOP leadership might think they have silenced conservatives, but removing me and others from key committees only confirms our conservative convictions. This is clearly a vindictive move, and a sure sign that the GOP Establishment cannot handle disagreement."

Aw, and I had so much fun ridiculing his name during the last sex scandal.

And this is exactly why 2 million voters did not go to the polls on election day.

Glenn Beck yesterday was talking about how 0bama winning was not due to voter fraud as it was a meme they heard over and over at many of the book signings.

For all the Glenn Beck ‘reveals’ at times his naivette is astounding. Yes, the democrats had voter fraud, but the GOP threw the election.

Yes, there is a purge going on. They must shutdown the voice of the people within their own ranks....if they won’t toe the line.

Hitler did it, Stalin did it, Mao did it...right now it is committees, later the party itself, and then they ...if they are still around speaking of freedom, liberty, and constitution...death.

You think Allen West’s election and vote fraud was all about the democrats cheating? Think again.

Make no mistake about how I feel about this. Partyline voting got us into this mess. Partyline voting because that’s what the GOP-e said to do. Blame those 2 million voters who didn’t go to the polls to vote for Mitt...those brave hearts that condemned our nation to a living hell did us a favor.

It will strip away the mask of the GOP and reveal the treason in our own house.

Romney got more votes than any other Republican ever:
Actually, the GOP vote has been increasing for 20 years:
1996 Dole 37,816,307
2000 Bush 50,459,211
2004 Bush 59,130,092
2008 McCain 59,948,323
2012 Romney 60,265,579
It is inaccurate to use the PARTIAL returns from election night to compare to the FINAL results from other years.

They should not vote for Boehner as Speaker and end this right now. The GOP thinks they have a party without the righties? One vote on just one day in January and the GOP is dead.

The important thing is to prevent a charismatic socialist leader from taking power.

Buy a gun, learn to shoot.

The problem with your numbers is that millions of independents who had voted for Obama in 2008 switched to Obama in 2012. Which means that millions of Republicans who voted for McCain in 2008 stayed home in 2008. In spite of the large swing in independent voters, Romney barely topped McCain’s mediocre effort from 2008. The GOP has a serious problem with its base and this purge of conservatives - including the disgraceful sell-out of Allan West - will ensure that the turnout of the base continues to erode.

We no longer have a two party system, just one party with two branches. The parties have merged together so that you can’t tell any difference between them. Both have been in control of congress and the white house. Did either of them:

(1) Put Social Security in a separate interest drawing account, like it was when it was created?
(2) Pay any amount on the national debt?
(3) Reduce the size of government?

Etc., etc. etc.

total economic collapse is inevitable. On the plus side, Eastern Europe emerged rapidly from the ruins of communism. A quick collapse, with a default on the debt, could force a return to the economic "state of nature" --a market economy.

Yes. More technical term for the state after the collapse is "natural order".

Agreed, GOP is now a liability. I’m done with them.

They obviously haven’t learned and let’s face it, we Conservatives have no voice in Government. We are the German Jews of the 21st century and we cannot allow what is coming.

What don’t you like about the Libertarians? I could never vote LP because they are pro open boarders, pro free trade, pro abortion and pro homosexual agenda. Other then that I like them. I particularly like the idea of ending the war on drugs. Sending billions of dollars to Mexican criminals don’t not strike me as a very good idea. Nor do I like no knock laws, illegal searches or (illegal) property seizures.

Boehner is now filling his committees with surrender monkey RINOs, and the fascists will roll all over him. Boehner will go down in history as the PUKE that sold Amrica down the tubes.

The Tea Party is ascendent. Ba-bye GOP.

I bet Boehner and most of these people wanted Obama to win.

I was just thinking the same thing. For Boehner and the other career inside the-beltway-Republicans, taking control of the White House and the Senate would have put them in the dificult position of having to break their promise to repeal Obamacare. These RATs in sheeps clothing never intended to repeal Obamacare and they are now relieved that that they lack the power to do so.

Allen West or Newt Gingrich for Speaker and head of RNC.

The GOP leadership needs to change. If it does not, the GOP needs to be replaced with the tea party.
