If it is true, as I have read, that Obamugabe and Bill the Sink Stainer Clinton are NOT praised in this film, then I just might go see it...
And the CIA agent is a fox.
Unless that is clearly part of the film, I want nothing to do with it. I want to see the sockpuppet-in-charge being given permission to get OBL by the unelected female official.
Does anybody know if Valerie Jarret plays a big part in it?
Would not have been needed except for Susan Rice.In a 2002 op-ed piece in the Washington Post, former Ambassador to Sudan Timothy M. Carney and news contributor Mansoor Ijaz implicated Rice and counter-terrorism czar Richard Clarke in missing an opportunity to neutralize Osama bin Laden while he was still in Sudan in 1996. They write that Sudan and Secretary of State Madeleine Albright were ready to cooperate on intelligence potentially leading to Bin Laden, but that Rice and Clarke persuaded National Security Advisor Sandy Berger to overrule Albright. Similar allegations were made by Vanity Fair contributing editor David Rose and Richard Miniter, author of Losing Bin Laden, in a November 2003 interview with World.from Susan Rice wiki page
No film is ever going to be 100% accurate, ever. Especially coming out of leftist Hollyweird
Was that when Clinton was too busy golfing to get the ok?
Terrorists say "0bama we are all Osama!"
This film hits the theaters Dec. 19th. Will it be a bomb?
A film by Kathryn Bigelow w/assistance from the 0bama administration.
Lives in Beverly Hills, CA. Net worth $14 million dollars.
Clearly Billy was AWOL as CIC.
We may need military guards posted around movie theaters this Christmas season.
Arrest the film maker!
i won’t watch it. This a recreation the way Obama wants us to see it. You have to believe that if it was anything else he would have raised holy hell and had the media cover for him. We will never know what really happened because most of the seal team 6 members were quieted for good to keep them from talking.Because of the way it was supposedly carried out, I’m not sure if Bin Laden was even killed, For all I know he may be holed up on a beach in Aruba living off the money Obama paid him to disappear. I mean we saw no body, no film, and have no survivor seals to talk. Just over the top suspicious to me.
It may win the Oscar. It just won the NY Film Critics prize over Speilburg’s Lincoln this afternoon...
Only Youtube 13 minute videos that only 300 people have seen can cause terrorist attacks.
I guess I'm now officially in the kook fringe. No pictures or video and a lot of witnesses, it didn't happen.
For U.S. to be in this position, and in such a short time, and with four more years ahead? Whatever was chasing us has caught us and tamed us. We'll be wearing a bridle and bit in less time than that.
"One day at a time" ain't just for the recovering any more. It's life in America...wonder how many days we have left. Those Saudis are crafty. They beat us at our own game. Impressive...but sad how easily we fell.
She seems to have a nice grip.
I do not believe Zerobama & his administrations “official” account of OBL’s death & immediate “honorable” burial at sea, so as to provide ZERO evidence to the American public. I think it’s all BS....always have, always will. I’m more inclined to believe that local neighbor who says OBL never lived there, he never saw him or his cronnies & died long ago. I don’t believe a word that comes out The Kenyan’s mouth. Never have, never will. :((
I agree, it’s a propaganda puff piece. So many, many things don’t add up about the “reported” story, yet the media and political world is super quiet about this film. I smell a rat.
she was in this movie “The Debt” last year where she played a Mossad agent going after this Nazi war criminal. A decent film, but she did do a nude scene in it, just fyi.
What a story this would be, a non-flaming liberal female director winning back to back Oscars?
yes it’s BS, Osama was gone a long long time ago. You folks have already mentioned all the suspicious stuff surrounding this debacle.
It was a political stunt, nothing else.
Having a president directly involved in the film making would be a bigger story.
“One day at a time” ain’t just for the recovering any more. It’s life in America..
Sadly, an apt description.
You mean co- President Valerie ‘the human stonewall’ Jarrett? :)
I won’t see it, either. I refuse to support anything from Hollywood.
Ahh ok, well... now there will be another BS movie. I’m sure it will be entertaining, but fictional all the same.
So, have you gotten your glitter heels yet?
Wouldn't this have been the same sit-room where the live video images of the attack on the Benghazi embassy would have been viewed?
She looks very capable to me. Good luck to Jessica Chastain
Stand Down In Benghazi is going to be a great movie.
Could this be what Sandy had in his pants - some documentation of him overriding Albright?
These people are despicable. Susan Rice reminds me of Jamie Gorelick - right in the middle of responsibility for horrendous disasters for this country.
J. Hoberman talks up the NYFCC some interesting information: In the acting awards, Sally Fields (Lincoln) finally defeated initial front-runner Anne Hathaway ( Les Miserables) for Best Supporting Actress on a fourth ballot while, in a rare second ballot win, Matthew McConaughey (Bernie) beat out Christoph Waltz (Django Unchained) and Tommy Lee Jones (Lincoln).
The closest and most surprising race saw Rachel Weisz (The Deep Blue Sea) edged Jennifer Lawrence (The Silver Lining Playbook) and Emmanuelle Riva (Amour). Last years winner Jessica Chastain (Zero Dark Thirty) was a factor throughout, tying for the lead on several ballots. (This race was by far the most polarized; only three of the 16 ballots cast for Lawrence or Chastain cited both actresses.)
By contrast Daniel Day Lewis (Lincoln), possibly the most feted actor in NYFCC history, led on every ballot but still required three rounds of voting to best the closely bunched trio of Jack Black (Bernie),Joaquin Phoenix (The Master), and Denis Lavant (Holy Motors). And: Greig Fraser was named Best Cinematographer for Zero Dark Thirty, beating the initial favorite, The Master on the third ballot. (In a simple, up and down vote, the critics declined to acknowledge Fraser for his work on Killing Them Softly.) Although heavily favored, Tony Kushners Lincoln screenplay needed four ballots to win over those for Zero Dark Thirty and Moonrise Kingdom.
The Masters relatively poor showing in this race presaging its ultimate fate. An early favorite for Best Director, Paul Thomas Anderson was overwhelmed by Kathryn Bigelow on the second ballot, with Ben Affleck(Argo) finishing a distant third. (Strikingly, Steven Spielberg, who failed to get a single first ballot votes, was never in contention.)
By this time, it was evident that Zero Dark Thirty would run the table and, indeed, The Master finished third for Best Picture behind Argo, although it took three ballots for the obviously exhausted voters to decide the winner. http://www.awardsdaily.com/blog/2012/12/03/field-barely-beat-hathaway-weisz-barely-beat-lawrence/#comment-1194918
They would have been smart to make it an unbiased film because their audience is conservatives. No liberal is going to waste his time watching a movie about bin Laden. The only way they’d go to the theatre is if it were about Obama and Osama were just a bit part.
Post #19 and now this one. YOU are on a roll tonight! I love it! ROTFL!!!!
Gotta laugh at these clowns or they will drive you crazy. lol
I agree. Thanks for the laughs.
Maybe a voice over from Clint Eastwood...:)
I read that book as well, is that the source material?
What you said, same here. If I want to listen to Obama’s BS I’ll watch the news.
I don’t know. Conservatives weren’t too high on Clint after glorifying euthaniasia in Million Dollar Baby, and then Letters From Iwo Jima and the “we need to see things form the Japanese point of view” and understand how they felt deal. A few jabs at Obama made that all ok, though, I guess.
the female CIA analyst is in that book, but the guy makes her out to not really have a major role. It sounds like in the movie she’s the driving force and pretty much discovers Bin Laden all by herself and personally directs the mission.
From what I’ve read, and Ive read a number of books and articles on the subject, the courier and the main thread were all developed starting in 2002 and beyond and this CIA analyst was brought in towards the end after they thought they found him and wanted to red team the issue to see what others thought.
Sounds like the film inflates her role a bit, which is understandable I guess.
Very good reviews so far.
