U.S. manufacturing unexpectedly contracted in November, falling to its lowest in over three years in a sign the sector may be struggling to gain traction, according to an industry report released on Monday.

The Institute for Supply Management (ISM) said its index of national factory activity fell to 49.5 in November from 51.7 the month before. The reading was shy of expectations of 51.3, according to a Reuters poll of economists.

That’s what my wife did with her biz, she kept a bookkeeper and that’s it, 2 part timers gone, she is minding the store by herself.

The economy now is actually looking quite resilient. If you look at what’s happening in energy, enormous boom. In agriculture, even with the drought, you’re seeing incredible levels of income to farmers, which is really welcome.

A nice look into their mindset... Income is taxable, they don’t consider the expenses necessary to a farmer to generate that income or the myriad of ways the crop can be lost.

Won't need to ignore the Constituitin, although he will.

“Will George W. Bush end up being the last true US President?” asked Sher Zieve, writing for the Canadian Free Press on January 14. “As I warned you on multiple times prior to the 2008 General Election, ‘once Obama is elected, we won’t be able to get rid of him.’ Tragically, this warning is now being realized. Not only has Obama established his election-fraud organization — ACORN — nationwide, his adherents have now begun the process to repeal the US Constitution’s 22nd Amendment.”

If the 22nd ammendment is repealed, obama, and every last person who voted for that, should be killed. The repeal would be a direct attack on the constitution and it must be repelled.

Pray for obama (and all other democrats). Psalm 109:8-9 Let Justice be done.

“I am going to become an economist. Is there any other profession where you are paid to be wrong 100% of the time?”

Imam? Democrat politician? Al Gore? Give me a little time, I’ll think of something. Oh, did you hear that the great economist J. K. Galbraith is supposed to have said recently that the thing to do for the economy is to encourage people to take early retirement? Also I just received an e-mail from someone wanting to sell me investment advice (for my eighty cent portfolio) in which he raved about all the incredible “new wealth” to be created by the aging baby boomers who will hugely increase the demand for healthcare! The old timers of my youth would have said something like, “I ain’t no ‘conomiss but ah shore bleeve ah cudda come up wid sumpem better’n ‘at dare.”

As Pogo said so famously,”We have met the enemy and it is us.”

I think a thorough grounding in the broken window fallacy would be of more value than the average degree in economics. Anyone of reasonable intelligence can grasp it in five minutes or less, of course for some a lifetime is not long enough.

I found one shred of truth, a Honda ATV plant close to me has announced that they will be moving some jobs here from Mexico. As to the real reason for this I can’t say but it has been officially announced. I cannot vouch for any of the rest.
It may be that Honda anticipates that Americans will soon be quite willing to work for a lower real wage than Mexicans will ask for. “Ain’t that something to be proud of.”

Hurricane Sandy, furthermore, is Israel’s fault. The unofficial mascot of Remat Mamre, suburb of Kiryat Arba, is a cute little dog named Sandy. They named that hurricane after her, because Israel is causing global warming with their missile defense system. Iron dome reflects light back to the upper stratosphere whenever a missile is deflected, causing it to heat up and making it impossible for the greenhouse gasses to go back to the mother ship. And all because of a cute little dog in the occupied West Bank, that George W. Bush once gently patted on the head while he was visiting to see how the occupation was going and encourage us to do more. So it’s also Bush’s fault./sarc
