Funny how I *knew*, even before my mind registered the WWL reference as the source, that this had occurred in New Orleans.

New Orleans paramedics rushed inside the store for a man with a life-threatening medical issue.Next time the emergency might be in the convenience store. What then?
It was, it was!

Right across the street from the Orleans Parish Criminal courthouse-— ‘nuff said. That and the “face blocking” photo of a ultra-long nailed “do” black female and the picture is rounded out.
The boot man gives a “kick” to the employee and/or the owner, for being called to boot a “violator”, no doubt.
This takes some real simple mind. Would be of minor interest to know if the “patient” was a problem customer....etc.

Per Ayn Rand...check your premises. The employee gets the boot for leaving his brain unattended

Next time the emergency might be in the convenience store. What then? I always advise posters to read the article before making a comment. Embarrassment and the appearance of complete stupidity can be thereby avoided.
In this case, the article makes it clear that the emergency was inside the convenience store and that the paramedics were tending to the patient inside the store while their ambulance, with emergency lights flashing, was booted in the parking lot.

People that stupid make me long for the days when we used to institutionalize idiots like that. Now we give them iPhones, EBT cards, and pay taxes to the {expletives} that buy their votes.

I'm sure that "Quicky's" has some problems with jury pool members who are running late, parking there and crossing the street (I've had the "pleasure" of serving on a capital murder trial jury there). Parking *is* a problem in the area, so I'm sure this c-store needs a deterrent. Fair enough.
It's just hard to imagine what thought process led this employee to immobilize the ambulance that was attending to someone in his/her own place of employment. That is weapons-grade stupidity.

The manager or owner and the employee who booted the ambulance should have been arrested. The boot should have been taken by the police and impounded. The city should bill the store for extra time wasted dealing with booted ambulance. They should also also bill the store for any repairs needed to the ambulance.

Along with the manager on duty. I’m sure there are lots of charges that could be brought.

I would also say some Ted Poe justice would be in order. Once convicted, the manager and/or clerk needs to be posted at a high traffic corner carrying a sign saying “I am an idiot. I booted a city ambulance.”
