Only if you're a statist.
Geithner on every program pointing the finger at the GOP, and mouthing in alphabetical order each, and every talking point as instructed.
The fightin' words:
Freeze budget growth.
Rollback Spending.
Fire the "non-essential" bureaucRATs...EN MASSE!
Alinsky RULE 12: Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it. Cut off the support network and isolate the target from sympathy. Go after people and not institutions; people hurt faster than institutions.
****
This is why “Grover Norquist” is becoming a household name.
Next question; can the R's survive without us. Perhaps, but only as a fringe minority party.
Somebody's got to get serious.
Read Mark’s column Saturday. One of his best laying it all out.
Aren’t those Steyn articles one in the same...his weekend column.
I feel the same way you do....How do we do it? do we have the time to do it? Can we do it..knowing how stupid the masses are? And how do you deal with the lies and the media backing those lies.
Part of me wants to get fired up and start working..part of me wants to run to the mountains and go Galt with guns.
thanks for the boost!
Yep. I usually read late Friday evening or first thing Saturday morning.
They may be fightin’ words, but they won’t be passed by this Congress or many more to follow.
Long overdue, although the Constitution Party already has a platform most here would agree with.
Grover did great with that idiot Kramer..just slammed him!
BTW, great post.
More like, unless you’re an Islamist.
(But this waffling out of a no-tax pledge is despicable.)
Is that a different one than the one I linked to?
THAT was AWESOME!!!
Grover is the only one ABLE TO ARTICULATE THESE FINANCIAL ISSUES better than anyone to the AVERAGE CITIZEN....LOVE HIM!
Put the Progressives on a leash, a prepaid credit card to match Clinton era spending levels. Then, let the progs figure out how to spend that block of money
Can we do it..knowing how stupid the masses are? And how do you deal with the lies and the media backing those lies.

I don’t think we can do it. We are entering an age as unpredictable as what our great-grandparents experienced when the automobile and the radio and the telephone, etc changed the world.
Every child today has instant access to liberal lies, and they sound so sweet and normal to them. The messages they absorb come from the leftists who have positioned themselves in places of ‘education’ and ‘entertainment’ where the message of Big Benevolent Government is constant, and the concepts of Liberty and Personal Responsibility are counter to the ‘good of the whole.’
Republicans in Congress are now in the position of General Washington and the Continental Army as they were retreating from the British in December 1776.
Washington did not quit, but instead convinced his troops to go back across the Delaware River - in a snow storm - and attack the Hessian troops at Trenton, NJ.
I see our only hope for the future is a total last ditch stand by our House of Representatives this month - and I plan to phone as many of their offices as I can to leave this exact message!
Just saw that segment and my reaction is the same as yours. Boehner sounded pretty damn serious and left the impression there will be no deal.
I am going to read Spencer’s article, so I can get the full pic on Grover.thanks.
Excellant post.
YIPES!
I never knew that about Grover....yeesh. I am so over him now. Just call me naive.ha. and I thought I was educated about the Jhihadi stuff..duh.
thanks again for your post.
Thanks God we have Freeper!!!!
My guess is if a LucyT or Mesta Machine were asked the skinny on Grover they would have far better answers than I.
Thanks, ths has been a truly bizarro year in trying to figure out who the players are and are not.
Grover certainly took our side against DNC Dave there is no question.
There is no serious attempt to control spending; Barry Obama, Harry Ried and Nancy Pelosi are running amuck with the national checkbook and there is no attempt to stop them. That's why Barry needs a permanent executive power to raise the debt ceiling, because the dials are spinning so fast even the big spenders in DC can't keep up with it.

SEE MY POST #63...
Yeesh...If WE need more information, its pathetic how little info the masses have. there are so many “hidden” things about “conservatives”. Its very difficult to stay to one’s principles and at the same time be politically effective.
Typical cowardly Country Clubber. Throw the truth under the bus so the media will like us. The media’s job is to get liberals elected and to destroy the truth. How about you crawl under the bus with the rest of your commie friends.
Grow a spine and fight the media or get lost!
Pray for America

This is very damning to Grover. Anythngto this?
I do find it interesting that when the Bush tax cuts were passed, the Dems and some Reps (McCain) claimed that they were just for the wealthy. Now Obama wants to keep them for the middle class. If the Clinton tax rates were so great and contributed to a booming economy, why not go back to the Clinton tax rates for everyone?
Between Evan Bayh on the FNS panel and Chris Von Hollen on the Meet The Press panel, it looked like auditions for a new Joe Isuzu character. It must be very difficult to negotiate with people like that, when you are constantly worried that they are picking your pocket. I can’t remember the last time I saw 2 people with such insincere smiles.
Does anyone know when [cough, cough - excuse my spasms] so-called ‘budgeting’ was shifted to a ten year paradigm? I missed it. I always thought that the five year projection was a bad idea and all of a sudden we have ten-year fortune-telling numbers.
Politicians are by and large lawyers, word people - not mathemeticians. And they are bombarded with lobbyists for everything.
Fudging numbers has to be the number one industry in DC.
Billion, schmillion, what’s the difference to them?
Same one kabar. I should have been more clear.
All the Dems will vote for it and Boehner would need 25 to 30 Reps to go along with him.
We are approaching the point where there is no point in having any tax collections at all. Turbo Tax Timmy and Berhnake can just print more money and have fun,fun fun until Daddy takes the T-Bird away.
Perhaps he can be our “useful idiot”...ha.ha.
Spending, Benghazi, over regulation, just a few of what was purposely ignored today Bernard.I don’t undersestimate what these commie-clowns are up to. It’s never any good.
If the Clinton tax rates were so great and contributed to a booming economy, why not go back to the Clinton tax rates for everyone?.....and Clinton era spending as well.
Here is a good take on the hole we are in....

Good catch kabar. Its often been pointed out that you can’t view the Clinton tax rates in a vaccuum. Manyh of us would gladly go back to those days of less regulation, no obmacare, etc., etc.no trillions in debt.

Yep. Every bit of it. And then some.
How do Dems refute it ?
In actual fact, the .com boom of the mid 90's, lower spending, smaller social outlays (welfare) coupled with far fewer regulations enabled a pretty healthy economy. We'll have a similar energy boom to take the place of the .com activity.
It's a start, but still doesn't address entitlements.
Yep, the SS payroll tax holiday coupled with the fact that SS has been running in the red since 2010 costs us $160 billion a year from the General Fund—more than the $100 billion they are trying to cut due to sequestration.
