It looks like the Iranian Navy really wanted people to see its new submarine. In a live broadcast on state TV on Wednesday, the Islamic Republic showed off a new Sina 7 submarine that is painted in an unusually bright turquoise blue hue...

I believe you may have found the origen of the design, altho’, Iran also purchased two migit subs from the North Koreans.

Just to rain on the parade of all the jokers, it is quite a bit bigger under the surface, runs on diesel/electric (that tall mast is the snorkel, which folds down into the hull behind the conning tower when submerged), and has two torpedo tubes which apparently can also launch anti-ship missiles. The crew is probably six, as noted.

My guess on the color is that it was temporarily painted like that to make it easier to see during a parade flotilla, since it really isn’t all that big and doesn’t project that far above the surface. From a distance, it’s not much bigger than a towed paravane.

LOL!

The Japanese never had no equipment that looked like that (or something to that effect)!

The sub is like a blue pill. Just the kind of pill that slips into New York Harbor and touches off its on board nuke. You know I am right about that my friends.

The sub has a very poor design and has to surface each time one of the 3 sailors has to come out to use the bathroom.

All the navy has to do is wait until nature calls to blow them out of the water.

a parade flotilla

What's driving the Iranians to prance around like peacocks? Are they showing off to the USA or their neighbors? In recent years they've developed a very bad case of vanity. Vanity leads to envy which develops into hate which develops into war. It's the normal cycle of human evolution in progress. God must have created humans for the laughs.
