Stop the Media from Lying About the Fiscal Cliff

Stop the MSM from Pressuring Congress!!! We should not sit back and let the Main Stream Media continue "campaigning" for Obama!!! The lies: We want to give tax breaks to the 98% of Americans. Obama has a mandate to raise taxes on the wealthy.

We can make a difference. History shows they had to back down some when we apply pressure via blogs and notifying conservative news outlets and hosts otherwise they look like fools or continue to appear even more untrustworthy which we know they are. We can't have the kind of news outlets that dictatorship countries have.

Just over $250,000 is NOT the top 2%. Consider this: Romney is a millionaire and when he released his tax return they media couldn't wait the point out that he is only in the top 3%. So how is it that $250,000 is the top 2%! The truth: it's the stop two "brackets". Consider this: 250K and over covers almost all small businesses.

Obama says he has a mandate to raise taxes. Two recent polling firms (Gallup was one) polled voters and they said they are not in favor of raising taxes and they are in favor of cutting spending.

The media is spreading the lie that we would help 98% of the people from getting taxes raised. It's a lie. It's not 98% and includes all small businesses (employers). Tax them and we have job losses. If the economy tanks even more (Obamacare alone is forcing small businesses to cut hours), the House will be blamed NOT Obama. The perception created by the media just prior to the presidential election is that Bush was responsible for the bad economy. So you can bet that if the tax rates go up on all businesses and the economy tanks even more because Dems refuse to cut spending (tax more spend more; US Treasurer says no caps on debt ceiling) it will be blamed on Congress NOT Obama!!!!

The House wants to modify the tax structure to get of loop holes that affect employees more so that small businesses. They have small businesses and jobs kept in mine.

It's the Dem's that are not willing to budge. They want the tax hike now and "claim" they will look at spending cuts later (like never; just like they always did). The tax hike is the ONLY thing Congress has as a bargaining chip. Give them what they will not do anything for Congress later.

The media wants us to believe that it's Congress who is not budging when in reality if you read what the Dems are saying they only want the hike and nothing else.

Please email your conservative news stations. We need the truth out. We should not let the media dominate the news. We should call them out and let a number of people (even on our side) know what the truth is. Trust me, some of them are still clueless and let the media rule their decisions some.

Where is the blame to be placed?

This worry about blame is needless. Republicans will be blamed for any disaster no matter what they do, of course, they don’t want to be blamed, so they cry and cajole , and act all hand wringy.......

You know what? I don’t care any more!

I look forward to falling from the cliff! Yes! And I have plenty to lose. But I’m sick of being played, I’m sick of caring, I’m sick of games and politics.

Be done with it, so we can recover and boot the sorry socialists out and the GOP too!

No, all the Republicans have to do is grow a set. Stand up to this ignorant upstart and fight, fight to the death to save our country.

Not many are willing to do so. And there goes our country.

I saw some frogs with wings the other day. You know what? Their butts never thumped the ground!

But house republicans with even bb sized testicles? I’m pretty sure that is a sight I will never see, either here or in an alternate world.

“Stop the Media from Lying About the Fiscal Cliff,”

That is like asking the sun not to shine. When it happens, it will be the end of the world and it won’t matter anymore.

Obama and the Democrats will be blamed for Obamacare and more and more for the general economy as the second term gets underway. But Republicans need to vote on the economy in 2014. They didn’t three weeks ago or he wouldn’t have won.

You know who we are don’t ya?

We are the abused wife. Just sitting in the pick up driving along, when the old man driving backhands us a good one.

What was that for? Well, you was thinkin’ something you oughtn’t be thinkin’...

And what were we thinking? Turn right, turn right!, but the old man has to turn left, towards the cliff.

Me? I ain’t listening to his lying behind no more, I’m jumping out of the truck. Sure, he’ll go off the cliff, and I’m gonna be bruised up a bit. But I’ll live and he’ll. be dead.

Let the GOP die.

RE : Stop the Media from Lying About the Fiscal Cliff, (annajones wrote)

anna, whining about the media is a popular emotional ritual here and on talk radio but it never won a single battle against Dems.

I been posting over and over here the past week or so,
the Republicans in congress have to quit acting stupid and fight just like Dems do, to win.

First thing, is pass an extension of the tax cuts for just the first $250K of income in the House and send it to the Senate and then go on all TV stations saying that you protected the middle class, crisis over.

The reason why Obama can get away with claiming that Rs are holding the middle class hostage to the rich is that they (Republicans) actually think that them holding back on passing those specific tax cuts by themselves is a chip in their favor to use against O. This is utterly stupid thinking and it is EXACTLY what Obama wants them to do.

Then make a commercial with all the clips of Dems calling for us to go over the cliff and use it to crush Dems with in January, and repeat their words on all the talk shows. 'Dems want us to go over, they keep saying it'

Jeeze, why are Dems such strategic fighters and Rs such a pathetic losers?
FIGHT LIKE DEMS DO, TO WIN!

Here's an analysis
Why Republicans lose here (see #19)

You are probably right. In order to cure most addictions may these be alcohol or drug related such an afflicted individual usually has to hit rock bottom first before either he or she sees the “Light” and any kind of cure can take hold. The same holds true for the current insane politics of the left which embrace nothing but spend and tax which never have worked in the past and will never work in the future. My hunch is that in order for any cure to take place there will have to be plenty of pain first to go around, as it is human nature to resist any kind of change, unless they are forced to do so under severe duress.

Regarding the economy, I really don’t expect much change in the next four years if the same insane policies are pursued as in the past. And as the number of people who vote for a living keeps on rising and continue to vote for the ones who promises the most, all I can see is the verbal train wreck in the making. I always have been sure of two things in life and this was death and taxes and more lately added a third and this is the realization that the way things are going can not continue for much longer. I am not so sure what it will take to turn things around, may this be a war or an event of Biblical proportions or some revelation so profound to shake up the human race to its core and serve as a catalyst to a recovery. I just have a feeling that what ever it turns out to be, we are heading towards it at an ever increasing speed.

Buffet came out and said the tax cuts should be for income earned over $500K

So extend the cuts up to $500K and call it the Buffet rule, crisis over,.

That is a good idea. 500K and up is fairer. It would be funny if Boehner came back with a proposal to increase taxes on “the top 2%” not “250K and up”. The top 2% would miss people like Romney but cover people like JayZ.

We should still call them on their lies. They want people to believe they are helping the deficit with increased taxes. However they plan on increased spending.

They are asking for more $$$ in bailouts. Look what happened to GM. After their bankruptcy and government takeover GM went on to lose 40% profits. The government cannot run a business. The only thing they get out of it is to guarantee $$$ and jobs to union employees who in turn must (yes by force) provide $$$ and support for the Dem Party. Thus creating a new class of elite that are NOT poor.

Why are we giving entitlements to people who are not in a period of need then?

Why must small businesses pay increased taxes if all it’s used for is increased spending?

When Bush was in office the deficit went up to 7 trillion during his 8 year term: complete with long term Iraq war, lots of troops and weapons used (far more military spending). But under Obama where he sends some aid here or there the deficit doubles to 16 trillion during his 4 year term! Yet that is not enough for them.

The whole idea of the fiscal cliff was to reduce the deficit. They need to do something about their out of control spending. The economy is just going to get worse and pumping more $$$ into it with our credit going bad means inflation, lost jobs, and a Carter economy. “We” know whose fault that is.

R/e Media pressure: it does make a difference. Conservative talk radio and news does affect how they have to report the news. Example: For awhile they we got Obama & Co. forced to report on Bengazhi (sp?). They had to because the conservative news outlets and Fox news wouldn’t let it go.
