A group of House Democrats has formed its own “Gang of Six” to push for progressive tax reform — in which the expiration of the Bush-era tax rates for the wealthiest Americans is “just the beginning.”

I used to believe in buying American cars it’s Patriotic. Your comment made me re-think my position.
Supporting these commie union thugs may not be in our best interest.
Perhaps going Nissan or Toyota would provided support for Americans not the thuggish socialists.

I was reading one of many posts shared here on this forum and I noticed Rush Limabugh spoke with Mitch McConnell. Rush says about these guys that they just do not have the guts (yet) to take on Obama in the way it needs to be done. I have been praying for a very long time for them to realize Obama is very serious about his view of transformation to our country. I know others are praying for them as well.

They are not doing their best. Newt pointed out that they have been in talks secretly with the dems all along. Yes, the House is our only hope to push the unconstitutionally actions from this WH back. I feel as though, they could do much more. They are afraid and that is what Rush was sharing. At the right time, we need to replace them with leaders who have a spine or guts.

How much longer will it take until people refuse to work, band together, to go protest so to clean up this mess in Washington. It's our country.. we are getting this since we allow this to go on. I hope they do not increase taxes nor sign that huge democrat bill. Like Newt said, either walk away, repubs/hold firm to no higher taxes or if you have already made deals behind closed doors, don't support the increase of taxes and the increasing the size of more government (break the huge bill up into small bills of things that will work, Newt's advise). The current Speaker is way too friendly with Obama. I get protocol but you don't associate with your political opponent to where it sends out a message of, we're good friends/our message is to work together. Just my thoughts.

Welll I won’t buy an imported car.

So it looks like a Toyota for you?

How much of the car contains U.S. parts?

Toyota Camry: 80 percent. Ford Escape: 65 percent.

And the Toyota creates more American jobs

link

Chevrolet Silverado = 61% made in the USA

Toyota Tundra = 80% made in the USA.

Ford F series = 60% made in the USA

find your vehicle here

"If you want to support American workers, buy from the Japanese and Korean automakers who have plants in right to work states"

The finest cars in the world are built by Americans, right here in the good ol' USA.

Just not by the UAW.

Cool.

Buy American though.

It will be increasingly important. However it is calculated.

I am still waiting for the dems to define or tell us what is the “fair share” he thinks the “millionaires and billionairs” should pay in taxes. Of course most of us think the wealthy should pay their fair share, but what IS their fair share??? Apparently, these socialists refuse to tell us so they can move the Fair share upward every few years—until they take all most of us have.

First... its not “our” country anymore and there is no “taking it back. The last best hope is to concentrate in the remaining red states to build them and try to hold the line until the rest of the country just collapses. When it does, and it will, the conservative forces can start again to gain footholds into the blue states inch by inch.

This is Red Dawn..... III

The next step is going to be a tax on accumulated assets. A wealth tax. Then there will be the various 401k/IRA schemes.

They will allow the Bush tax cuts to expire, implement the *taxes on the rich* and then, voila: reinstate the Bush rates for anyone making up to $75k or so. That will be headlined as “The Obama middle class tax cut”.

That, along w/forgiving student loans for government work or whatever other goals they have and other incentives will give them a permanent middle class majority voter bloc.

“In response to the call for progressives to draw a red line in the fiscal cliff sand, here is our big picture stance on corporate and individual tax reform,” Rep. Michael Honda (D-Calif.) said in a statement. “Six progressive tax principles from a new Gang of Six. The expiration of the Bush tax cuts for the wealthiest Americans is just the beginning of the discussion.”

The progressive group also includes Reps. Jan Schakowsky (D-Ill.), Keith Ellison (D-Minn.), John Conyers (D-Mich.), Raúl Grijalva (D-Ariz.), and Barbara Lee (D-Calif).

That bunch sounds like it's going to be about as effective as solving an algebra problem by chewing bubble gum.

In politics, "Gang of X" usually refers to members who will ally themselves with another faction to achieve a desired result. Who, exactly do they plan to ally with? Are there any members of the Communist Party in the current Congress? These dingbats do realize that the Republicans are pretty safe with their districts until at least the 2022 election? Or maybe they don't.

IT’S BEGINNING TO LOOK A LOT LIKE ARMAGEDDON

It’s beginning to look a lot like Armageddon
Bama’s still squatting in the White Hut;
Uses a teleprompter so well, it’s Jarrett can’t you tell
Soros and globalists like the show.

It’s beginning to look a lot like Armageddon
Hurtling over the fiscal cliff;
Michelle’s spending all she can, while still blaming the white man
Liberal fascism for sure.

Well there’s commies n muzzies n Benghazi but no worries says the propaganda press ministry of spin;

Ayers n Davis Black Panthers n Operation Furious
Solyndra don’t forget Cloward Piven;

And the ruling class of corrupt Congress hacks are giddy all over again.

It’s beginning to look a lot like Armageddon
Bama’s still squatting in the White Hut;
No birth documents to show, the Usurpers gotta go
Reggie Love is waiting under the mistletoe (oh no!).

It’s beginning to look a lot like Armageddon
ObambiCare they say is the “law of the land”;
Justice Roberts violated his oath, Barry Soetoro still smokes
And our troops keep dying in ‘Stan.

“When, exactly, do we start taking our country back? What will be the last straw? When do we draw the line in the sand?

When do we start dragging these assholes out by the hair of their heads and horse whipping them in public?

When?”

When you are ready for a real revolution, and/or civil war. That’s when.

Won’t make the slightest bit of difference. We don’t have the votes. Period. XYZ horsefeathers.

If the Repubs in the House had any testicular fortitude they would shut the country down by pulling the purse strings closed. If they don’t, where are they going to take a stand?

This may be the Repubs ‘Now or Never’ moment.

Kost such critters are terrified of going against the Speaker. Losing their chairmanships is like being out on the bench. Look how the leadership treat outliers such as Paul and Bachman. The last two RRepublican speakers have been nothing but spoilsmen.

And your new Toyota assembled in Indiana was made with 100% non-union labor. Those jobs - right down to the janitors - are among the most sought-after in this area.

I guess if that's what you have to tell yourself to feel good but its 100% false. I was a AFL-CIO worker making Toyota parts that likely went to that exact plant.
