Casper police say three are dead stemming from an attack at Casper College this morning.
Casper Police Chief Chris Walsh said there were two dead at the school's Wold Physical Science Center and one dead at another location in Casper, although he wouldn't identify the dead or the other location.
No suspects are at large and nobody else was injured, Walsh said.
Asked about speculation that a bow and arrow were used in the attack, Walsh wouldn't identify what weapon or weapons were involved, although he said no firearms were used.
Walsh said he'll hold another press briefing at the college's Gateway Building at 1 p.m.
Police responded to the campus's Wold Physical Science Center at about 9 a.m. this morning. Police and college officials locked down the campus and police sealed and searched the physical science center.

Murder-suicide. Irritating how they can’t say that.
I understand that Canada put crossbow laws into effect after an MP was shot with one. Can anyone confirm that?
Please, next time type in the place where this happened at the beginnin of the post.
No one should have to go to the link to find WYOMING.
IIRC, it’s against board rules to change the title of a linked article. The author was, however, free to add “(Wyoming)” at the end.
Thank you.
I know only one ‘Casper’ and it’s in Wyoming.......the cartoon ghost doesn’t count......
Muslim attackers, or democrats?
I know only one Casper and its in Wyoming.......the cartoon ghost doesnt count......
casper the ghost who can’t count went gonzo and killed 3? what?
There is a Caspar in Mendocino County, California, but apparently it is a tiny place with no college.
Police found two bodies in the building. One appears to be a male faculty member and the other appears to be of "student age." Police say the weapon in question appears to be "bow and arrow type."
Yeah, I know about not changing a title. But there is no rule that states one cannot put “WYOMING:” at the beginning of the body.
There are small towns all across the nation that have names duplicated elsewhere. Dallas in Oregon and Manhattan in Kansas are two that spring to my mind.
Caspar, in California’s Mendocino County, can be found in Wikipedia. It has a population of 509 and has an interesting history, replete with crazed envionmentalists.
RIP.
So do we ban Assault Bows and start house to house searches, or ban the "Hunger Games" movies and books?
Certainly we can round up the Boy Scouts, those homophobes have an Archery Merit Badge.
Meanwhile, in the inner cities, hundreds of people are killing each other. But the libs don’t care about that cuz illegal guns are used, and the libs don’t care about stopping illegal guns. They just want to confiscate LEGAL guns from HONEST, LAW-ABIDING people.
Any ideas on the motive? This sounds personal (or deranged, which is often very similar to personal).
I'm sure that is a source of great comfort to the famlies of the deceased. Oh. she's dead? well as long as she wasn't shot.
Chuck Schumer is deeply saddened.
I wonder if it is Daryl and his Bow and Arrow? (Walking Dead)
upChuck, and no doubt those hags Feinstein and McCarthy as well.

Another bad ending to a pick up basketball game in the ‘hood?
Another bad ending to a pick up basketball game in the ‘hood?
Prayers for all the victims.
Indeed. I would think that a horrible wound to die from.
I live about 2 miles north of Caspar which is a tiny "town" on the ocean with a cafe/ bar, a small church and day care facility and that's about it. Maybe population of 100 at the most. Used to be the home of Caspar Lumber Company, but that's been long gone for many years. There's no college. We do have a branch of College of the Redwoods in Ft. Bragg which is about 8 miles north of Caspar
Let me guess, it wail illegal to have whatever weapon was used on campus, but the criminal ignored the law.
Nobody told him murder was against the law, either.
Ha....just who I was thinking about.
Wow. What a resource. Mention Capsar and someone who lives two miles from there reads the message. I was going by the fact that my road atlas doesn’t list a population figure, which they do for many places that are pretty small. I’ve never been to Mendocino County.
Wow, freepers are *everywhere* lol.
An article I saw refused to call it anything other than a “sharp-edged weapon”.
You bet, some of us are in the tiniest of places----small but mighty!
Well, it's really tiny so maybe that's why. As I mentioned we're about 2 miles up the road from Caspar(also notice the difference in spelling Caspar vs. Casper as in Wyoming), but within 5 miles of the larger coastal town named Ft. Bragg (7000 pop.) to the north, and Mendocino (1,000) which is 5 miles south of us.
It's a beautiful, but remote area of northern California. We're right on the ocean and it really is a piece of heaven. If you love rugged coastal views and cool weather all year round you'd love it here. Just to give some perspective we're about 170 miles north of San Francisco.
Talk about living up to its name if Casper, WY had become a ghost town.
i gotta say, every time i read about multiple killings by anything other than a gun, all i can say is thank God... and i don't even feel guilty about it anymore

You want someone to read the article to you too?
Don’t be snarky. It is only good writing to let FR readers know the basics, like where in bloody Hell something happened. “Where” includes state and nation, if appropriate.
Has Bob Costas made a statement regarding this tragedy yet?
The grapevine says this is the case...
