On November 29th, 1947, the United Nations General Assembly voted to partition Palestine into a Jewish and an Arab state. The Jewish leadership accepted the plan; the Arab leadership rejected it. Sixty-five years later, on November 29th, 2012, Mahmoud Abbas, President of the Palestinian Authority, excoriated Israel, praised Islamic terrorists, and received the overwhelming approbation of the General Assembly, which voted 138 to 9 (with 41 abstentions) to recognize Palestine as a non-member observer state.
Abbas was perfectly clear: The moment has arrived for the world to say clearly: Enough of aggression, settlements and occupation. The world, then, through the U.N., would be rebuking Israel with its vote.
To be sure, President Abbas made some conciliatory remarks, such as, We did not come here seeking to delegitimize a state established years ago, and that is Israel. But these remarks were completely overridden by his unstinting condemnation of Israel, whose policies, he claimed, have thrown [negotiations] into the intensive care unit.
How could he claim that he came to the U.N. to launch a final serious attempt to achieve peace?
Speaking of the recent conflict in Gaza, Abbas said, Palestine comes today to the United Nations General Assembly at a time when it is still tending to its wounds and still burying its beloved martyrs of children, women and men who have fallen victim to the latest Israeli aggression, still searching for remnants of life amid ..........

P!$$ on the UN.
BLAH, BLAH, BLAH...... bombs started raining down on Israeli settlements outside of Gaza from the moment the Palestinian terrorists were given control of the City. Everything the terrorist leader says is BuLL Sh&t!
Shame on the U.S. for continuing to support this corrupt organization.
Didn’t the UN already create a Palistinian state in 1947?
Gosh I wonder what Obama thinking.
As we’ve seen with the ADA, this would just pathologize every moral failing into a disability needing accomdation and subsidy by the government. Nobody would every be held accountable for anything because “they can’t help it.” A massive increase in the welfare state and income redistribution.
Whoops, wrong thread.
The UN should give the Palestinians their own state. Call it Somalia. Or Detroit.
SHAME ON US!!!!!!!
We CONTINUE to use Taxpayer dollars to fund this motley collection of third world dictators, egg-sucking petty tyrants, sheikdoms, socialist economic catastrophies and assorted other political monstrosities. We even allow them to ensconce their putrid butts on American soil and escape punishment for running over and raping American citizens.
We should PULL OUT of this obscenity and tell them all to go to hell where they belong.
It is long past time to kick the UN- Nest of Vipers out of USA!
The UN can’t be shamed, it has no honor!
If the muslims ever get a state, Israel can legaly invade and destroy them, then annex the land.
Abbas will demand a state just like Arafat, and just like Arafat will never accept one. Mean while he will kill as many Israeli’s as possible.
Simple solution, Hamas has signed an agreement to side with any Arab country that attacks Israel. On that day, carpet bomb all Hamas areas.
Bye, bye Gaza, and I suspect quite legal.
No, screw the U.N.
I think Canada already called back its ambassadors and cut funding to the Palestinians.
You forgot “diaper headed squat shitters” - and I agree.
I watched the proceedings from Abbas emitting foul gas out of his demonic maw onwards. It was sickening to listen to the soulless hordes applaud anything that was pro-Palestinian.
It’s doubtful the US will boot the UN out as the people who pull the strings are globalists. The UN is Satan’s own and globalists are Satan’s useful idiots. It’s a match made in Hell.
