I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been surprised to learn that one of my white friends or associates was a Republican. Ugh. It’s a troubling realization. Not only because of the political ideologies; (I don’t understand why folk can’t see the Republicans are just about money.), but also because the Republican party has been known to associate and or attract the type of folk who cling to racist, sexist and classist thoughts and even behaviors. There’s the tea party folk, the Todd Akin type dudes and most recently people who can’t act like they have a modicum of sense or even humanity, at a convention where the party is supposed to be putting their best foot forward. Why didn’t they get the memo that it’s not ok to throw peanuts at a black woman?!

Talk about Race
I like to talk about race with non-ignorant people. If those people happen to be white, great. But more times than I’d like to remember, some white folks have been completely oblivious to what it means to be a minority in this country. How many times have you heard a white person ask, in all seriousness, “Where is White history month?” or state “I don’t see color.” or “Black people are always pulling the race card.” Statements like that will cause you to look at a person you once liked in a whole new, unfavorable light. To avoid the grave disappointment, you might be so inclined to keep race out of it.
What things do you avoid doing around white people?
(remember how the fashioinistas demanded Mrs. Romney NOT disclose who designed her clothes?)

Obama commands that we must covet the wealth of those who are better off than us. And not a peep from Christians?
Christians need to go a lot further than abortion and same-sex marriage when assessing political candidates. The Obama/Democrat agenda is institutionalized envy, jealousy, covetousness, bitterness and theft. All too many Christians look at the left’s agenda of envy/jealousy/covetousness/bitterness and fall for the lie that it is all love and light. They weigh abortion against the “great charitable heart” of Democrats and come out for Democrats. Charity is giving what is yours to others. What belongs to you. Taking it first from others has nothing to do with charity, compassion, kindness, generosity or love and everything to do with buying power. The Democrats compound sin with sin, evil with evil. There is no trade off. Do Christians even bother to ask how is it even possible for politicians who are such ardent advocates of abortion and sodomy to be paragons of virtue on other issues?
Relying on the government to meet your needs and solve your problem, or encouraging others to do so, puts government in the place of God. It is God that people should put their trust in to get through life. And not the government.
Today’s Christians would rewrite Jesus’ parable of the golden talents and take away the talents from the man who had five and redistribute them to those with fewer or none. Which makes them antichrist. Politicians in their much less than infinite wisdom have taken it upon themselves to decide who has more money than they think they should have and then seize it to give to those to whom it doesn’t belong. Putting themselves in the position of playing the Almighty. To the materialist it is all about money. Some people’s lives don’t work and the materialist think that it’s all a matter of money. Let’s see, my wife called my office this morning spitting with anger. She had taken our son to his doctor’s appointment (at the hospital she used to work at.) First, in the eight parking spots in front of the hospital that used to be designated “Reserved for Expectant Mothers” it now reads “Reserved for Hybrid Cars”. Inside a sign greeted her: “Free Mammograms for African-American Women” She said the only thing that kept her from exploding with rage was my son asked her not to.
The maniacs have won, and Trickle Down Government just became an avalanche.
Now,THAT’s the best description I’ve ever seen regarding arguing with a lib.
