... Obama is having Mitt Romney over for lunch on Thursday and their meeting is already generating a lot of buzz. Here are five theories about the White House’s motives....

1. Obama is extending a common courtesy...

2. Obama will offer Romney a Cabinet job...

3. Obama will enlist Romney in the fiscal cliff debate...

4. Obama wants Romney’s advice on business issues...

5. Obama wants closure on the 2012 presidential election, or something else?....

The simplest explanation is usually the best. Whereas Obamugabe is the LEAST SERIOUS occupant of the Oval Office EVER, here it is: this is a PHOTO OP.

If I were Romney I’d have said that my schedule was full and likely to remain so.

Yeah, cannot you just see that meeting...one guy too stupid to know he is way over his head in the job he has and the other wondering how the hell this dummy managed to beat him.

I see nothing in this as a gain for Romney. Frankly I’d rather have a colonoscophy than endure a few minutes with the jerk as he gloats about winning.

I think you are way off base about Obama wanting closure for the election. A narcissist wouldn’t give this a thought.

My bet is one thing: this is a show, a photo op to propagandize the lie of his willingness to reach across the isle to be the great uniter. Utter bullshit, but the masses will think it’s pure pork rinds. (I don’t have much respect for the masses).

This time he will run for the party he is more familiar with and politically belongs...

If Obama is asking Mitt for economic advice, I hope he gives him the worst advice possible.

Oh, wait - that would simply be agreeing with Obama.

I won’t be surprised if he offers Mitt the Secretary of Business new slot. And then keep him reined in.

King Obama finally realized that his screwing up America eventually will result in the Kingdom failed so badly that he has no empire to dictate over. He is about to ask Romney what can he do to save his ass.

Photo-op but for a specific purpose. He wants to form phoney image he is trying to work with pubs. So if fiscal cliff happens he will be seen as willing to reach around etc blah blah woof woof.

Another smart move on Obama's part.

Later on, no matter the outcome of the budget debate and financial initiatives in Congress (good or bad) it will look like Romney had a part in it.

If he could, Obama would have the Pope over for lunch so that it would look like he was a Christian.

Romney is just another stage prop for the Con-Artist-in-Chief....and the offer for lunch should have rejected politely but firmly.

We should always be concerned when someone is invited to a private meeting with Obama. Mysteriously, they come away from the meeting espousing the Obama agenda.

Boehner and Cantor Meet Again With Obama
.....Mr. Boehner had two previous private meetings with the president, and both of those sessions caused unrest among fellow House Republicans who worried that the speaker was going to strike a compromise that many of them would have trouble supporting.

Archbishop Dolan ‘a bit more at peace’ after meeting with President Obama
November 15, 2011
Archbishop Timothy Dolan of New York, the president of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB), met with President Barack Obama at the White House on November 8.

Archbishop Dolan said at a November 14 press conference that he left the meeting “a bit more at peace [about religious liberty] than when I entered” and that he believed the president to be “very open to the sensitivities” of Catholics about religious liberty.
