CARSON CITY — An estimated 25,000 Nevadans will lose their unemployment benefits on Jan. 2 if Congress fails to reach a deal on the federal budget, state officials said.

The state Division of Employment Security said today those people are receiving benefits under a federal program that extends state payments. Another 1,000 jobless will exhaust their regular state benefits each week thereafter and not be eligible for the extension, division Administrator Renee Olson said.

Breaks my heart. Maybe they should have voted for Romney. They wouldn’t need unemployment benefits. They’d have jobs. Elections do have consequences. I don’t think it’s the GOP’s job to bail their asses out either.

Again, no mention of President A-hole’s role in negotiations. Keep up the good work, media toads.

Hey, Zero is adding millions of new jobs and the recovery is well underway. Why should there be any extension to unemployment benefits?

These benefits were set to expire long ago, and it has nothing to do with the budget deal.

Can’t really have a budget deal if Dingy Harry’s Senate has no budget. Say, isn’t he from Nevada?

Don’t worry, nevada nobama supporters. The GOP will fold and reach across the aisle. Spend like there is no tomorrow. Spend...spend...spend.

Even if the Republicans get blamed in the short term, the food lines need to form. People need to see how stinking bad the economy is before it is too late to do anything about it.... it might already be, but we need to take our medicine.

Oh.

Well...I'm sure Nevadans have a handle on the situation... They knew what they were doing when they reelected Obama.

Ok, what’s the problem? They get a pink slip from the Unemployment Office, get cleaned up and dressed, and go out and hunt for work.

Go cry to uncle Harry Reid, or better yet pay that SOB a visit and get up close and personal.
