No, Groucho Marx will precede the one and only Michael Savage.

We in the media are supposed to be the watchdogs over government, not lapdogs, Savage said. Thats what freedom of speech and freedom of press entails.
Savage said that without harsh criticism, our politicians become immune to the people and behave like King George.
I take my role seriously and hope to continue to entertain and inform on WABC and WMAL, he said.
Savage ended his relationship with the Talk Radio Network in October, where The Savage Nation was the third most listened to radio talk show in the U.S. with more than 10 million weekly listeners. This year, the show became the No. 1 talk show on the Internet.
Savage said that while San Fransicko is his adopted home, New York City is still a sort of spiritual home to me my ancestors are buried there.
After many years on another station where I dominated ratings in my time slot, I am back on a much more powerful station, the venerable WABC, he said. Few know this: When I first began in New York City, I was carried on WABC and I beat the New York Yankees in the ratings!
Regarding WMAL, Savage said, What can be better than to try to keep the K Street gang somewhat responsive to the people?
He noted that hes never been heard in Washington, D.C., except for on a marginal station.
WMAL brings my voice into the consciousness, the geography of the geopolitical leadership, he said.
By 9p, I prefer John Batchelor who’s been on double shifts for the past few months. Savage @ 11p would be better IMO.
Savage Nation on WMAL, weekdays 9-11 pm.
Maryland “Freak State” PING!
I for one am thankful - I could turn the radio off fast enough at 6pm to avoid his obnoxious voice and even more obnoxious demeanor. I’ve got Gerry Doyle back! Several year ago Doyle was replaced on my station my Hannity - knowing Doyle is coming up next I can actually last through the last 1/2 hour of Hannity’s self promotion every day.
Excellent! Now he’s starting to rebuild his network.
Not the first time he’s been on in DC. He used to be carried in his old time slot by WTNT, first on 570, then on 730.
WMAL is a much stronger, more desirable signal.
Write to your local station and call them.
WMAL is planning to run Batchelor after Savage. I don’t know WABC’s plan, although I’d guess it’s the same.
Austin Hill was the fill-in. He’s not that great, but WMAL seems to like him. Malzberg is better.
I wonder if they’re thinking of adding Laura Ingraham.
Boortz is retiring in January. Herman Cain takes over for him on January 21.
Laura Ingraham is off the air now, due to failure to come to an agreement with her syndicator.
Same syndicator -- Talk Radio Network.
Austin Hill was the fill-in.

Yes, thanks....I had a ‘brain fart’ - Austin Carr got into my head and I couldn’t come up with Hill....Guess I am not all that ‘impressed’ with him...then again anyone who continuously refers to himself as author, host etc after almost EVERY break -or at least every half hour- gives me the impression he is really full of himself.
Good to see him clipped by an hour. That will force him to jettison the fluff about his stupid dogs, etc., and focus on his biting commentary and impressive wit. Savage is a great American, as is (even more so) Mark Levin, who Savage ironically follows in NYC - Levin despises “Weiner”, even though they are similar in many ways. I enjoy them both. I find Rush’s re-reading of Drudge links and Hanraty’s Cliff Notes “conservatism” unbearable. I listen to Savage, Levin and John Batchelor.
Ooooo, same guys? I didn’t know that. Who do the Talk Radio Network have left? Ingraham was #8 nationally and Savage was #5 (if I remember correctly).
‘dynachrome’ is the leader of the Savage Ping List.
Silvie, no Savage Nation on WMAL?
I heard him last night (Monday, 12/3) -- tuned in at 9:42pm and he was on. He was on from 9-11pm.
Excellent show last night -- I've missed Doc!
They replaced Laura with Tammy Bruce.
I’m so glad that savage is back on the NYC radio.
WABC has a huge listening audience.
Since they are on the same station, Mark Levin can’t say anything negative about savage anymore! It must be frustrating, LOL.
