Both sides of this conversation are idiotic. The difference if I remember correctly is 3% which on $250k is $7500 per year is not enough to hire employees. It is only enough to pay for a exotic vacation or a new car. The only solution is to reduce the size and scope of the federal government and the republicans won’t even discuss it....

I agree. Republicans keep selling us a bill of goods. Never make the spending cuts needed and only talk taxes. Get rid of most of the deductions and special rates for certain types of income and you might be able to lower taxes. This is on both individuals and business. Go budget item by budget item and see if it should even exist. Each has their own up or down vote. No bundling with things needed. Make serious effort to deal with both entitlement spending and defense spending. Get rid of the many duplicate progams and agencies. Make a serious effort at reforming. No sacred cows allowed. None of this will happen though.

Do you really think obamas increased tax bite on middle class people (yes, middle class) making $250K will simply mean a family is unable to go on an “exotic” vacation or buy a new car?

The difference is that the bias now turns toward taxing higher incomes.

It becomes clear in millions of minds that it's "moral" to tax the rich. Once you get that in people's heads there's a long list of ways to do that.

Also, it's not the $7500 which of course is not enough to hire someone.

It's the bias.

If these business up to this point were on the edge of expanding hiring, a law passed against them at this point shows them the Fed Gov't is not on their side so many businesses entrench further.

Plus, of course you're talking way more than $7500 as you go higher. It's the bigger business who will entrench which will increase unemployment.
