HOUSTON (CBS Houston) — Stop thinking that all porn actresses are “damaged goods.”
A new study finds that female porn stars are more religious and have a higher self-esteem than other women.
The study, which was published in the Journal of Sex Research, concluded that these women do not fit the “damaged goods hypothesis.”
“In terms of psychological characteristics, porn actresses had higher levels of self-esteem, positive feelings, social support, sexual satisfaction, and spirituality compared to the matched group,” the study titled “Pornography Actresses: An Assessment of the Damaged Goods Hypothesis” concluded.
The study compared 177 porn actresses to a sample of women based on age, race and marital status.
According to the Toronto Sun, researchers shot down the ideas that women who work in porn came from broken families or hostile backgrounds.
The study also found that women working in porn tried more drugs, had their first sexual experience at a younger age and had more sexual partners than those in the sample group.
The study was conducted by researchers from Texas Woman’s University, Shippensburg University and Adult Industry Medical Healthcare Foundation.

Lots of other evidence indicates that these women hate what they are doing and most of what they do on screen is fake and repulsive to them. Interviews of those who have left the “profession” for a normal life.

Three months later, he receives a notice that the movie will make its debut in Times Square at a porno house. The musician enters the theatre wearing a dark raincoat and shades. Unaccustomed to porno flicks, he sits in the last row next to an elderly couple.
The film has explicit sex scenes: oral intercourse, anal intercourse, golden showers, sado-masochism and near the end a dog has intercourse with the leading female character. The musician who is immensely embarrassed turns to the elderly couple and whispers, “I wrote the score and I just came to hear the music”, to which the elderly woman whispers in reply, “We just came to see our dog.”

That was a boring movie. Kind of like being married.

Not to mention the sets are never cleaned, they film for hours a day, injuries to female sexual organs are common and include things like bleeding, tearing, and herniating. Drug use is rampant, as is STDs.
I broke up with a girl. Called her on the phone and asked what she was up to, she told me she was relaxing on the sofa with an afghan. I couldn’t believe she would cheat, much less with the enemy.
