Breitbart ^ | 11/25/12 | Ben Shapiro

As clashes between Egyptian police forces led by Muslim Brotherhood president Mohammed Morsi and Egyptian protesters angry at Morsi’s power grab escalated, the US embassy in Cairo weighed in. You may remember the embassy’s last embarrassing tweeting escapade on 9/11, when embassy staff tweeted apologies for a YouTube video even as the embassy was stormed. Today, as the embassy fell under assault, they tweeted:

And, pretty much to the person, they’re almost all muslim sympathizers.

Sounds like a cozy little club

Thanks for the DoS feedback. Have heard the same from others. One friend said there were a lot of Marxists, socialist types there. . dare I say communists? He also said very Ivy League intensive. . a 'we know better' attitude.

...if it weren’t for the security contractors protecting them and the military doing their best to keep the peace, Iraq would be a peaceful place... But when asked if they would be willing to drive themselves around Baghdad, they would say it was too dangerous...

Nitwits lost in the static of their Ourovorus Ophis elitist belief system.

And that's worse than it sounds.

However, the very, very large majority of DoS, USAID and their liberal, progressive contractors live in an alternate universe. They spend their lives living behind walls and attending cocktail parties on the taxpayer dime.

I see that nothing has changed, I had the same experience with these yahoos back in 1967 in SE Asia. They talk a good line but in no way do they walk the “walk”.

That last tweet about supporting the muzzie brothers is incredible. What the hell is our embassy saying and doing? We all know they support the brothers.

Until Americans realize this and acknowledge this, there is little we can do.

At this point, most Americans either:
a. Want free stuff
b. Want to show their not “racist”

The actual good of the country is way (way) down the list for most.

This is good news, make no mistake. The people are rising up against the Muslim Brotherhood.

I could care less about the fate of any of the Obama cultists in the embassy, but I do worry about the Marines and other security personal. The cult will sell them out in a heartbeat, witness Benghazi.

I read the tweets that our embassy staff was putting out yesterday in talking to the “average folks” on Twitter. Who got the bright idea of trying to tackle diplomacy in 140 characters or less?? That is the STUPIDEST, most idiotic thing I have ever heard. They are like little children and whoever is responsible for the twitter traffic out of the embassy should be fired.

I wouldn’t mind if Obama was limited to 140 characters. Why diplomatic posts are engaging in social media is beyond me. While I understand political use, I’m not so sure it’s wise for the government at all.

I agree with you. It struck me as incredibly dangerous to have someone speaking “off the cuff” on twitter from our embassy. How do we know that that last protest in Cairo wasn’t the result of some stupid tweet?
