I'm bringing Kolache.

Have butter and coffee at the ready. ☺

Butter and coffee will be no problem.
You’ll love the coffee.
We have an espresso machine.

At the B.O.R.G.

When I get my holiday check in a few weeks I hope to pick up a 10-22 if there is any money left after paying off the Black Friday expenses.

I hope to. I’ve got a buddy that has a place outside of Uvalde. Went to the range today to zero his 338 Marlin Express. I can tell you now, I don’t want one of those. That thing kicks harder than any rifle I’ve ever shot. And he has the scope mounted a little too high so you can’t get a good cheek weld.

That’s the Czech stuff.
I got to bring a proper Orthodox Christmas Kolache..

I can’t believe you never had one.

Your area is the last place it survives.

It is typically a nut roll.
Its often done with poppy seeds.
Sometimes its apricot.
Cheese and pineapple is really nice, but I like the traditional Christmas nut roll slathered with butter and dunked in coffee.

Ours are different from Texas kolache.

It all comes from the same roots but ours is only made at Christmas time, and it is quite different.

Indeed!

This is the stuff.

Awww, dang! Are you trying to make me hungry? That looks really good.
In fact, I think I've had it before, but I didn't know what it was. I forget
when, but it was a very long time ago.

Sounds good to me. Give me a week to zero the new rifle though. It should hit my FFL this week.

Hope ya’ll had a great Thanksgiving day!

I need suggestions. I was out on the back patio blasting holes in stuff with my old Hbar colt. I finally had to admit to myself... It’s time to throw some glass on her as my old eyes just don’t see so good any more!

Since the old girl has a carry handle instead of the Picatinny rail, I’d like to hear what you think is the hot set up for carry handle scope mount and optics on the AR 15!

There’s a tremendous amount of options out there (and I really like the EOtechs) but would value your opinions!

Price wise I’d like to keep it less than a first born son.

Thanks in advance...

Well it’s just one of those things I have a soft spot for.

We don’t eat it all the time.
