The “right” to healthcare does not require a doctor to work for free
Med City News ^ | 11-23-12 | Kevin Smith MD

After the election, a lot of people are excited that they can now get healthcare. Or maybe not quite yet, but by 2014, when ObamaCare is fully implemented.

The only problem is that healthcare is not like an Obama phone. The phones are all made by a standard process in a factory, probably in China, and they usually work.

You can use them to call a healthcare provider. But you usually get the ’if this is an emergency, hang up and dial 911,’ followed by the phone menu.

How will this change with ObamaCare? Doesn’t that give you a right to care?

Whenever someone tells me about the “right” to healthcare, I ask, “From whom? From me?” This question exposes this “right” for the robbery and slavery that it is. Take it to the next step. Do you really want to exercise your “right” to healthcare on a physician who doesn’t want any part of this bargain? What kind of care do you think you’ll receive?

I think Dr. Smith states his case very well.

Everyone will eventually find a doctor to care for them....but it’ll take hours, if not days...to get your dose of “care”. The sad thing is that you then have to hear folks whine about this on NBC or CNN...telling you just woeful tales of how the system didn’t work like they imagined (to include the folks who had health care before Obama Care came along).

Silly doctor. Doesn’t he know ‘bout the Physician Draft act of 2015, that will swell the ranks of the Public Health Service Corps?

I’m from the Givernment and I have come to give you a free lifetime supply of
debt...
More debt than you can possibly imagine
More debt than you could possibly repay in a lifetime
and its absolutely free,
paid for by the ever shrinking value of the dollar!!

It’s just like winning the lottery of life for a little while...

Us peons will get the ill-trained “barefoot doctors” that rank-and-file Cubans now receive care from. The politiburo members and well-connected citizens will receive 21st Century care. Period.

Check out the complaints about Thai Universal Health(free)system. Italics are mine. "The doctor explains that while people on SS are complaining of standards of health care, in government hospitals the standard of care is dropping due to increased workload of hospital staff and a growing numbers of patients.

"Now we have waiting lists, "he says and compares Thailand to the UK's NHS (National Health Service). "We studied the EU community and their health care systems and wanted to bring that to Thailand," he says, though adds that in many western countries some "responsibility" must come from the patient. Due to Thailand's UC system now being completely free there is an "over utilisation" of the health care system, he says. Because it's free, and drugs are free, doctors and nurses are "overburdened and overworked". "

Of course they will. The doctor taking care of you will be foreign and speak very little English. Of course, that’s happening already. Many of the docs saw this coming and are preparing to either exit the profession as fast as they can or they will stop accepting patients who are on medicare and medicaid. I can hardly wait for hussein to sign an executive order forcing these docs to work for nothing and claim it is for the general welfare that the Constitution “provides” for.

And don’t forget...

The “barefoot doctors” and nurses will be members of an all powerful government union.

You won’t even get to see a doc. They will send everyone a medical illness book so you can self diagnose. Once you figure out what is wrong with you you will call in to a call center to get a number to see a doc based on your self diagnosis.

Involuntary servitude. Thought that was prohibited in the 13th amendment. Guess that will take another civil war to re-establish.

I don’t know which will happen first; currency collapse or health care collapse. No matter, 0bama won and things will be just fine. But seriously, people are still really asleep. But at least today, I engaged in one of my recent favorite activities. I went to the supermarket and stocked up on $250 of canned food. I usually like to get the African American cashiers (95% 0bama voter) and watch their reaction.

HC is not a right. But it does violate my rights to require me to pay for the HC of others.

Impeach the kenyan or secession.

Obama voters won’t know who is treating them. Nurse Practitioners, “Doctors of Nursing”, Physician assistants etc. The mark of an intelligent patient will be to ask their caregiver “Are you a physician?” Soon that question will be considered very politically incorrect.

6 years ago I was unable to get hired as a RN in south Florida due to a hiring freeze in the hospitals that lasted years. I kept my license active all this time even though I have not been working as a nurse.

Every year, new nurses were churned out of the nursing programs, and majority couldn’t find employment. (at least that was the word on allnurses.com forum for nurses) So I would think there is a glut of nurses now.

It seems that even though there were no jobs, nurses were encouraged to train because of a “nursing shortage”.

Me thinks this was according to the plan . . .

Kudos to this doc for saying what needs to be said.

Older, wiser, more experienced docs are having nothing of this. Already seeing the MD in the office I train with going to concierge care. (you want his care, you will be paying for it out of pocket). Other patients will be seeing the NP’s. Don’t get how all these new patients will all be seen by the limited number of NP’s in practice at the moment.

Training to be an NP myself. Really not looking forward to going through all this hassle only to be paid peanuts as an Obamabot care provider. I pray I get on with a Minute Clinic or some such organization.

NO....you will NOT see a Doc...you’ll be prescreened by an administrative person, who then MAY let you see a Physicians Assistant, who then will decide if MAYBE you are worthy of seeing a doc. Of course, if you grease the palms enough, you’ll get to go closer to the front of the waiting line...

Hmmmm....10+ years ago when I spent a week with my Great Uncle who was in an ICU in South Florida....most of the nurses were foreigners....could THAT be the problem?

Would love to see that. They can make me show up, they can’t make actually treat anyone.
