Good observation about Rush not pursuing conservative media enhancement ala Glenn Beck does with every fiber of his being.

I believe most newspapers were once owned by conservatives. Maybe they were simply overwhelmed by the flood of brash investigative “journOlists” from libery schools, and literally sold out?

Some like Richard Mellon Shaif of Pittsburgh and Rupert Murdock got pummeled into submission by personal attacks and exposes.

There was a time when newspaper profits were linked to circulation. Owners tended to be businessmen, looking to make a buck.

Most BigLib newspapers today are small segments of mega publishing/broadcasting empires. They lose oodles of money but the owners don’t care — in part because the lefty flagships help them maintain their liberal bona fides, which is worth plenty to them in terms of influence and Washington dealmaking.
