Actually, for all his quirks, Charles is well liked by most of the British public. And we, whilst not agreeing with everything he says, agree with some of his statements (his attacks on 60s UK architecture for example are very popular)
I have little time for the Charlie-bashers, as too many are just silly women with fetishes about the blonde bimbo he was married to.
I have met Charles and Camilla, and they were a very charming couple. And Charles a charming and intelligent man.
BTW, I am NOT a royalist. I simply like the man as an individual.

Many people believe all the stories they read in the newspapers and gossip magazines. After Charles and Diana divorced the media was very hard on Charles. The nasty stories apparently sold newspapers.
