How sad. His character is a part of Americana. I fondly remember the big deal Dallas was in its day (loved the early to middle years), but it always seemed to me that Larry Hagman didn't let that fame swell his head. J.R. was one of those bad guys we loved to hate.

A great guy who enjoyed a great, great era, and who made Texas swagger new again. Martini lunches, Big Hair, Big Oil, horses, cattle, cowboy hats and custom boots! Is there anything more fun and exciting?
