I was at a dinner the other night with very conservative people from a number of foreign countries who are here for a relatively short time. We all got in a discussion about the gay agenda, and they said it was a culture shock to come over here and have the gays so aggressive. It frankly was a relief to know that there are other serious, responsible folks that believe the gayness is a moral issue.

Having a social agenda in your face that revolves around bung hole politics is a shocking thing. It's dirty and crude and unacceptable.

Fortunately, no kind for Thanksgiving this year. I used to just keep quiet in mixed company but no longer. We’re in the middle of a war and I’m not staying quiet any longer. I’d love to hear some of the weak retorts in this article because they are a hanging fastball when you are expecting a hanging fastball.

I’m hosting for my son who is AF reserves, biracial yet conservative as the day is long, his girlfriend, who is for the most part, conservative; despite going through the university lib grist mill. In addition, my mostly liberal and quasi libertarian daughter and her Gary Johnson supporter husband (who happens to resemble “Steve” on the old “Married with Children” show). All in the presence of my once-blue-collar-democrat, now RABID conservative farm boy husband (both my children are his stepchildren) who has a gigantic temper and threatening presence of a pro wrestler. I converted him to conservatism-you know what they say about the ex-smoker and his/her vigor!

I have prepared a ten course meal so between that, deep frying the turkey, football and texas hold ‘em, I hope that will keep them pre-occupied to the extent that there will be no erruptions (there have been in the past.)

Heading out soon to see the liberals. Politics is not likely to come up, but if it does I will point out, like I always do, that one party gets us broke quicker and one slower. I point out the destructive effect of low interest rates used to paper over the bad bank debt. I point out the charade of their economy (in Northern Virginia) based mostly on government waste. In short, ignore your and my politicians because we are screwed.

In any case, hospitals are required to provide care to anyone who comes to an Emergency Room, meaning they’re shelling out major cash any time someone without insurance needs medical attention. So making sure more people are covered actually saves the country money.

“We are able to sit here together today, as free people able to voice our various opinions, and share plentiful food, because of those who died defending our way of life, and because of those who everyday put their lives on the line for us in the military. The overwhelming majority of those who are now protecting you voted differently than you. Are they stupid? Are their opinions meaningless? Are they ‘right wingers’ that you have the right to make fun of and ridicule? If you have any respect for me as a person, and for the large number of Americans who disagree with you, then just be thankful we can be together and stop pushing your world view on others.
