Hamas chief Khaled Mashaal announced in a press conference Wednesday evening that Israel "has failed in all its goals" in Operation Defensive Pillar, following the cease fire announcement.
"After eight days, God stayed their hand from the people of Gaza, and they were compelled to submit to the conditions of the resistance," Mashaal said. "Israel has failed in all its goals," he told reporters in a Cairo hotel.
Mashaal also thanked ceasefire mediator Egypt, as well as Iran, which he said "had a role in arming" Hamas during the conflict.
Arabs in Gaza took to the streets to celebrate the start of the truce deal, firing into the air and chanting victory slogans, AFP reported.
The celebrations began shortly after the 9:00 p.m. deadline for the ceasefire to begin, agreed in a deal between Israel and Hamas that was announced in Egypt.
Heavy celebratory gunfire could be heard throughout Gaza, and residents also released fireworks into the night sky, where Israeli drones could still be buzzing heard overhead. .....

I am only quoting an officially claimed repository of information on Jewish stats.
The number that south40 claimed, of 810 mil Jews worldwide, is wildly at variance with what I found when searching.
The suspect number is the 810 million. south40 used this number in posts to argue that the ratio of worldwide muslims to worldwide jews was not that much of an imbalance between the two populations.
If you think the 13.5 is too small or doesn’t reflect all jews, just observant ones, then you can look it up and see what you find. Just remember while you’re at it that the suspect number is the claimed 810 million from south40.
Even Germany had 6 million Jews to kill. A little over twice that is the world population now? I don’t think so!

It sure makes little sense when thinking that WWII Germany had 6 million of them to kill, and if memory serves, that was supposedly a quarter of the world's population of them at that time.
Like I said, the claim was made there are 810 mil jews worldwide. I searched online and found the officially-designated estimate from a university chair that is dedicated to that purpose, and I posted it.
The suspect number is the wild and undocumented claim of 810 million, not my information.

This broader number could reflect descendants of mixed marriages, part-Jews whether or not modern Orthodox Judaism would tag them as Jews by descent. The rule there is matrilineal, whose chances of happening at random fall exponentially with the number of generations involved.

Hitler and friends did kill the 6 million. That made a real dent in the population, yes, for some strange reason, it really did.
But you using that to reason forward from there that that proves anything now, just blandly avoids the fact that 6 million are missing from that genocide.
