Right on, Onyx. Every word that you shared.
I like reading this thread. We are all being candid without getting offended while learning what went wrong. Have a good night/morning.

The author seems to have omitted one of the key reasons for Romney’s loss - cheating on the part of the Democrats by ballot stuffing and multiple voting by voters, as well as getting out the vote by illegal aliens who sought a Democrat victory, with all of the government handouts and goodies - not to mention welfare scamsters and union goons, who sought a Democrat victory for precisely the same reasons, i.e., graft and payoffs.

Hi there, been a long time. Missed seeing you. I agree with what you posted about it being a train wreck ..It was alot of reasons, wasn’t it but really things went bad when the GOP turned their backs on the Tea Party. Have a good day.

I knew he would lose when he ignored Sarah Palin and the TEA PartyP> You guys know where a lot of us were in regards to Romney and his branch of the GOP, for him to do that national public snubbing to us, sent a very clear message that he wanted us out, that there would be no asking for our vote, at any level, that his agenda was aimed as much at us, as at the the democrats.

Hi ansel12!
Thanks very much.
I recall the Romney campaign saying they couldn’t work out a time schedule with her.
Sure thing...

Those were good days on the ramparts - till we got slaughtered.
But in politics, we live to fight another day.

Indeed, she did! Romney ignored her and it cost him.
I truly hope he’s done with politics.

And the wife too... Good point. Hate to say it, but she was not appealing. And that was another reason I couldn't stand Romney. Like Edwards, he had a sick wife, but instead of retiring with her, he cared more about pursuing power than caring for her.
I'd love to blame his loss on issues I care about. But normal people don't care about politics. Alas, the fact that he was not a likeable person doomed the campaign from the start.

Isn’t that the truth. Never give up, I say unless one can”t take the stress so one does not become ill.

...among adults younger than age 30, according to a Pew study, as many saw news on a social networking site (33%) as saw any television news (34%), and just 13% read a newspaper in print or digital form.Keep in mind that a lot of younger guys will watch a network based on how 'hot' they perceive the anchor to be. Robin Meade on CNN gets a faster vote than Shepherd Smith, so they watch CNN. (Yeah, I know Mehgan Kelly is hot, but too many younger males see her as threatening because she's smart.)

So, we should not trust the leftist media when they tell you that one of yours are too far out there. Notice that no matter how far to the Left their side gets, they are never presented as "extremists" or "Whackos". Heck, even our own side tends to kick the dog crap out of anyone who suggests return to original intent.
How in the heck are we going to win doing their work for them?
We can't out Democrat the Democrats, can't out Liberal the Liberals, and for d@mned sure can't give away more than they do, but the novel tactic of appealing to the base might work, if it was tried.
Had Romney's bunch decided to remind Catholics of their ties to a Church that would not budge on gay marriage nor abortion/obamacare, maybe they could have brought in more votes, especially from the Hispanic Catholics (run the ads in Spanish, in the appropriate market areas). Put the fear of God in the voters, where it counts. That could have been an entire ad campaign, and that is just one instance of where fighting the good fight might have made a difference.
