The US was much better armed and equipped than Vietnam. It didn't turn out well.

Meshel is hoping that Israel comes walking into a trap, when Hamas has had lots of time to set up tens of thousands of IEDs all over Gaza, prepared tens of thousands of sniper positions, and made tens of thousands of suicide vests for their women and children.
