AFA publishes annual "naughty/nice" list--companies hostile to Christmas
Click here for the list ^

Dear Friend,

As the Christmas shopping season begins full swing, AFA has prepared its annual "Naughty or Nice" retailer list.

We have taken the top 100 national retailers and reviewed their websites, media advertising and in-store signage in an effort to help you know which companies are Christmas-friendly.

Over the past seven years, your AFA has stood firm in the "War on Christmas." Companies who used to refuse to acknowledge Christmas now have Christmas "shops" inside their stores. Many of them now liberally use "Christmas" in their advertising and in-store signage. Sadly, there are still some companies which refuse to use "Christmas." They continue to insult and offend Christian shoppers by sticking with their politically correct "holiday" term.

>> I am so sick of this. There are multiple holidays and the use of the phrase “Happy Holidays” is not necessarily anti-Christmas. On this particular issue I part company with the AFA. I think their stance on this issue is divisive and makes Christians look petty and ignorant. Hannukah is a legitimate holiday that involves the giving of gifts too. This Christian has no problem with “Happy Holidays”. <<

So you wouldn't have a problem if Isreali companies routinely censored the word "Yom Kippur" and replaced it with "autumn holidays", out of respect for the "non-Jewish" people living in Isreal?

From what I’ve seen it’s whether dependent. If the area gets Norman Rockwell-esque Christmas weather people say it, if it doesn’t they don’t. You won’t hear it at all in Tucson this December because it will be 80, people wearing Christmas clothes that include the word won’t say it.

There have been unsubstantiated accusations of people being instructed not to say it. But it’s never been proven.

I’m ignoring that “point” because it doesn’t exist. Because people freely say Christmas all the time the fact that they also say thanksgiving and independence day has no meaning.

I didn’t say I want others acknowledging others. I pointed out to a person demanding he be acknowledged that the form of acknowledgement he wanted was to ignore others, he wanted everybody and everything saying Christmas all the time regardless of any possible situation outside of Christmas, like the FACT that people who don’t celebrate Christmas DO buy trees and send cards so in fact it can be perfectly valid to call them holiday trees and holiday cards.

Nobody is banning holidays. That is another one of the LIES from the perpetually “persecuted”. I know people that refused to vote for Obama because he’s too conservative (no really) and they have no problem with Christmas. They read these war on Christmas stories as comedies, because they know there’s no such thing, if there was THEY’D be the ones fighting it.

Your analogy doesn’t work on any level.

and again some stores have instructed their workers to not say Christmas and refuse to have it on their AD’s but will say Thanksgiving or 4th of July.

Again you have ignored now for what the 4th time how you said people have to acknowledge others but do you apply that to the 4th of July which stores have no problem with and Thanksgiving which stores have no problem with.
Not everyone celebrates those holidays and why not have a happy holiday at 4th of July.

Why is it just Christmas, oh that’s right because it contains the word Crist which the left wing turd PC crowd hates , the same crowd which has nothing better to do and put down Christians and attack a federal holiday and then find a nativity scene and then demand it be taken down or sue.

Oh and I have bad typo’s to offend your religion, now are you not being a bit silly and are you not the one who said some like some on herewho want to be offended and feel persecuted?

Oh and what religion are you seeing as you said maybe some of you need to stop being put on a cross or words to that affect?

As for 80 outside and people will not say it because they forget, HUH, I live in FL andI have never met anyone here who forgot to say it because of the weather, LOL.

I’ve been in the Arctic for Christmas, a place called Tromso and I;ve been in warm climates, only in America is Christmas and saying it an issue and some of those countries have many more left wing turds thna here so thta speaks volumes about some

No they haven’t done that.

And no I didn’t say that.

So now we’re to the point where you are just repeating yourself over and over, and worse what you’re repeating over and over are lies. We’re done, have a great Christmas.

they;re not saying it in your mind becaue you have not followed or done the research.

Again what religion do you call yourself then?

Happy holidays on the 4th and when those English guys and gals came over, dont want to say what the holiday is as liek you said we have to acknowledge not all celebrate them, hell some natives in AZ like the Apache make take offense over this holiday coming up, maybe some Brits make take offense over the 4th.

ARF.

That may be true in Pilgrim land, but Maryland was founded by Catholics, and the Swedes were in Pa. before William Penn....

Staples is against Christmas? I thought Staples was owned by the Mormon church, who strive to represent themselves as Christian!

I'm with you on the Christmas thing and that there are places that go out of their way to avoid it.

Also, remember a few years back when Worst Buy had "Happy Eid" on their flier and no mention of Thanksgiving?

Not everyone celebrates those holidays and why not have a happy holiday at 4th of July.

However, the "4th of July" isn't important because it is the fourth day in July......it is Independence Day. It should be referred to as Independence Day.........it isn't just things that are Christian that get watered down.......it is also things that are Patriotic too.

JC Penny’s displays say ‘Merry Christmas’. Maybe they are hoping this will counter the gay debacle. I doubt it.

That’s simply a personal reading of history, discostu. The Jews were using evergreen in written history before the early central Europeans have a record of anything.

And celebrations at and around the solstices are much older than one religion or another.

So, ascribing it all to northern europeans is a bit of prejudicial judgment.

After all, the True God created the solstices in that He ordered the universe. Those other cultures all descended from the survivors of the flood, so their later practices were derived from an original authentic understanding and their deviations were deviations from the most ancient history.

That fact is not a popular one in today’s secular culture but it’s still true and though the world wants to deny him, one day every knee will bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is LORD.

Amen and Amen. Thank you both for saying what you've said.

Skip Black Thursday Night and Black Friday All Together. One of the reasons is this is hurting Christmas. 32 days of saying anything repetitive. Christmas should start being mentioned until the end of November. DON’T SHOP UNTIL DECEMBER OR DON”T SPEND AT ALL TO PREPARE FOR OBAMA 2013.
