protesters demonstrating against recent violence in the Middle East clashed on
Sunday, Nov. 18, 2012.
Pro-Israel and pro-Muslim demonstrators clashed on Sunday outside the Federal Building during a protest over renewed violence in the Middle East.
Hundreds of demonstrators waving Israeli and American flags stood on one side of Wilshire on the Westside of Los Angeles, while a smaller number of pro-Palestinian demonstrators stood on the other.
“My family is over there. They have to sit in shelters. And they’re very stressed out, but unfortunately the world doesn’t realize this is a day to day reality, “said Noa Tishby, the founder of Act for Israel, a non-profit group representing Israel’s interests through the use of new media.
The demonstrations were held in response to renewed violence as Israel launched rockets on Gaza in response to attacks by Hamas on Israel.
The Hamas attacks were in retaliation for the assassination of a top Hamas military leader.
“Palestinians are struggling for liberation,” said Sophia Azeb, of the group Palestinian Women of Southern California. “They’re struggling for equality. They’re struggling for their basic human rights, which are being violated again and again. ”
At one point during Sunday’s protest, police were prompted to go into tactical alert because protesters blocked traffic along Wilshire, the Los Angeles Police Department said.
Sunday’s demonstration was the latest to take place in Los Angeles.
Demonstrators sympathetic to both sides of the conflict gathered Thursday night near the Israeli Consulate on Wilshire Boulevard.
My sister and her husband went there today just got home a little while ago. Saw the cockroach arab scum across the street with their own little protest. Funny how that one person said that she wants “liberation” for Palestinians, does that include Sharia Law, which they all seem to be in favor of. Maybe if they knew how it felt to have hundreds of rockets thrown on their houses they would think differently, but I doubt it

More BS the attacks may have been blamed on the assassination of this leader, but Hamas is filled with blood-thirsty leaders and Muslims aren’t happy unless they are killing someone.

Here we have another blatant example of anti-Israel, pro-Islamist bias on the part of a leftist MSM outlet. If we are to take their nonsense literally, the "assassination of a top Hamas military leader" by Israel upset the peaceful co-existence between Israel and Hamas-controlled Gaza. No mention whatsoever of rockets from Gaza killing, injuring and threatening the lives of more and more Israeli civilians ever since the Israeli "disengagement" in 2005.
Sorry, lady. That is just part of Islam. Get used to it.
One thing I will commend the Israelis on is that strike on the Hamas leader. Moving vehicle with all those buildings around. Exceptionally tough target with what looked to be very good results.
