People hold a banner during a Paris protest against same-sex marriage

Translation: One father, one mother, for all children

Members of the Ukrainian-based feminist group Femen were pepper-sprayed, hit and kicked by anti-gay marriage protesters in Paris when they tried to disrupt a march against a proposed law to extend marriage and adoption rights to same-sex couples.

“Anti-gay marriage” is like saying “anti-flying worm.”

The term “gay marriage” is as meaningless as “flying worm.”

No, these people are not “anti-gay marriage.” They are “pro-marriage.” Period.

Every time I see these people on display, I am reminded of the scripture that states that they are given over to depraved minds. It’s becoming more and more obvious.

Lord Jesus Christ, Son of the Living God, have mercy on us and on the whole world.

Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary, pray for us.

I find myself saying these prayers more and more each day. We are in a world of hurt folks.

A protester Maced one of the counter-protesters.

Now they're getting the idea! I'd love to see Americans doing this to cockamamie leftists and perverts when the latter put their little street shows on. Just spray 'em with mace as they walk by!

I always admired Richard Chamberlain the gay actor. When he was interviewed
about his biography he said he did not write about his sexual orientation because he did not think it was all that interesting. And he’s right. What’s so interesting about some ones sexual orientation? Okay you’re gay.
So? What am I supposed to do about it? Am I supposed to think you’re special?

A nationwide demonstration against gay marriage and adoption took place Saturday in France. Another is scheduled for today (Sunday, November 18). Two separate demonstrations with somewhat different positions and points of view.

Saturday’s rally, that brought out 70,000 people, according to police (200,000 according to the organizers), was called “La Manif pour tous” (The Rally for everyone), a parody of “Le Mariage pour tous” (Marriage for everyone), the popular name for the new bill drawn up by Minister of Justice Christiane Taubira that would legalize gay marriage and adoption.

The idea of the bill being that everybody has a right to marriage (and the idea of the rally being that everyone has a right to protest the bill). In essence, what it meant was that Saturday’s rally was not limited to Catholics, but was open to anyone of any religion, as well as Communists, Socialists and gays themselves, who oppose the new bill.

The “Manif pour tous” was organized by a popular personality with the unlikely stage name of “Frigide Barjot”. You can see why they call her a humorist.

Note: The new bill, if it becomes law, would apply only to civil, not religious, marriages. Many mayors have already indicated they will refuse to perform the marriage ceremony. Another reminder that in France you are not legally married unless and until you have gone before the mayor, or his associates.

The second demonstration, set for today, is sponsored by Civitas, a very traditionalist Catholic organization whose stated goal is to re-Christianize France.

Some Catholics attended Saturday’s demonstration, others refused on grounds they did not want to march alongside imams and Bolsheviks, even if they agreed on this issue.

Catholic writer Thieulloy de Guillaume, writing at Les 4 Vérités, said that despite major reservations, he would attend both rallies:

“… who knows if this common struggle will not be an opportunity to bring about what we have ardently called for for many months: the union of the vital forces of French Catholicism? We seek first a victory in this political fight, to defend the family and the children, but God could very well grant us, in addition, full religious unity.”

He makes it clear that he demonstrated on Saturday as a Catholic whose only adversary was the new bill, but that he feels much more comfortable with Sunday’s Civitas rally.

Besides Paris, there were substantial turnouts in other cities: Toulouse (5,000), Nantes (4,500), Rennes (2,500), Lyon (between 22,000 and 29,000). A homosexual association called “Plus gay sans marriage” (More gay without marriage) and a Muslim group “Les Fils de France” (The Sons of France) also participated.

Le Parisien reports that between 6,000 and 8,000 persons demonstrated in Marseille, proving that there are more than just drug dealers in the beleaguered city. However, counter-demonstrators unfurled a banner that read:

“Your model of society is dead, welcome to Sodom and Gomorrha”.

(They may not be far wrong.)

Good news from France. Many are getting fed up with Moslems, too. Excellent. Fighting back!

As long as you label it as “gay marriage rights” or Gay rights, or simply acknowledged the possablity of a union between anything other than a man & a woman could be labeled a legitimate marriage . You have given up the debate.

The battle for real marriage is much more in our mind & language than in the halls of politics.

The terminology must be Real Marriage vs the fraud.
