This pretends Obama is making some overt effort, which would involve action or at least a policy announcement.
Instead, Barack is giving advice you might expect from your Grandmother:
“You ought to look at a peaceful resolution, before you go marching in there.”
As though Israel is too stupid to consider this....
This is simply Obama mouthing some words, before he goes off to play for a week.

"Israel has every right to expect that it does not have missiles fired onto its territory. If that can be accomplished without the ramping up of military activity in Gaza that's preferable," Obama said And Barry Benghazi would accomplish that how? /sarc

This chicken shi! turd has no idea how the world works. This crap with Gaza has been going on for years and this escalation should be the last straw. Hamas declare war with Israel and what is Israel supposed to do. Take it up the butt?

I volunteer Washington as an alternative target for the ground invasion.

I think he doesn’t like the idea of Israeli ground forces going in and capturing those weapons. It might be inconvenient for people to know what they are, and be able to start tracing where the came from.

Darned nice of Los Negro to opine for the people of Israel. Gives them more time to prepare the troops and the missiles. If Los Negro goes against the people and the State of Israel, then I think he will be judged by the Judge who has promised to supernaturally protect Israel.

Screw you, Obama. GTFO of the way.
Bibi, IGNORE anything that emanates from this administration. They want you defeated. You have a duty to safeguard the survival of Israel.

I’m sure when Obama leaves the WH, the Israelis will hire him as a military tactics advisor.

" if Israeli troops are in Gaza, they're much more at risk of fatalities or being wounded."Sounds like a threat to me. Obama will be feeding intelligence real-time to the rock chucking wild donkeys to help with rocket and artillery targeting.

Obama seeks to head off Israeli ground invasion in GazaYeah, good luck with that.
The friction that zero has generated between the US and Israel is not likely to influence Bebe one way or the other.
PM Netanyahu is a smart man and he knows that zero is not on his side and hs nothing to bring to the table, so what does he hope to gain? More dead Israelis at the hands of the muslim killers?
IMO, that's a non-starter.

2 things about Obamas statement.
1) Acting like he is concerned for Israels safety, that not going in is for their own safety and good, is condescending and BS.
2) It runs exactly counter to the administrations statements earlier in the week about supporting Israels actions.
Not to mention the headline calling this an "invasion" is a misleading characterization. While calling it such may be technically correct it is nonetheless purely self defensive.

In Myanmar, Zero pontificates:
********************
"Obama said Israel had the right to defend itself against Hamas' missile attacks from Gaza. But he urged Israel not to launch a ground assault in Gaza, saying it would put Israeli soldiers, as well as Palestinian citizens, at greater risk and hamper an already vexing peace process.
"If we see a further escalation of the situation in Gaza, the likelihood of us getting back on any kind of peace track that leads to a two-state solution is going to be pushed off way into the future," Obama said.

Given the drone war in Pakistan, and the air war against the Qudaffi (spelling is optional) regime in Libya — Obama would have no basis for criticizing Israel for doing whatever it takes in Gaza, so long as there are “no boots on the ground”.
