Commissioner Tod Mowery is a Republican who was charged with overseeing Saturday’s vote tabulation in the District 18 race. Mowery is the vice-chair of the board of county commissioners in St Lucie County. After a full 12 hour day of counting, the poll workers finalized the bulk of the work, and plan to be back at 8 a.m. to finish up and announce the results.
Mowery talked about the process in an interview with BizPac Review. He expressed a desire to restore public trust in his county’s voting system.

Yes, they come down here for 8 months to get homestead exemption and voting rights knowing that their own northeastern state will be blue without them.
I’ll bet you he just escapes the trigger for an automatic recount by 300—he may have legitimately won by more than that.
How about the 500 votes West picked up in the limited recount of early voting? This is one of the same arguments the left uses for not needing voter ID. i.e. no proven vote fraud.
The first and primary answer required is how did the county manufacture almost 70,000 more votes than there are registered voters. 70,000 fraudulent votes were cast in St Lucie County by the records maintained by the Democratic Party.
All other answers boil down to “Did you see the squirrel?”
Can snowbirds vote in person in FLA and by absentee ballot in, say, NJ? or Wisc? or Mass? (or insert-blue-state-name-or-swing-state-name—here)?

Could you give us more info? Like the number actually registed in the county, and the number supposedly actually voted?
This is the most “hugh” and “series” thing I have seen in a LONG time.

The article says although 175,554 were registered in St. Lucie County, the number that voted Obama was 247,713, a difference of 72,159.

72,000 more voters than registered voters should have sent up red flags and set off alarms all by itself. And it’s not like this just happened in Allen’s district, either

Yes. How else can you explain the HUGH turnout of “the young”? (college morons). They vote in the state where they go to “school”, “absentee” their home state and every other state that they’ve ever been to. Our voting system is totally broken and corrupt. Banana republic style. Saddam Hussein would be ashamed of what is going on here on election day.
They probably know they have ‘found’ enough votes that it won’t matter who is in charge. Esp, an honest wimpy Republican.I hope he isn’t tho.

THE TABULATION SYSTEM (GEMS) PROVIDES VOTER TURNOUT AS EQUAL TO THE TOTAL CARDS CAST IN THE ELECTION DIVIDED BY THE NUMBER OF REGISTERED VOTERS. ALSO NOTE THAT SOME VOTERS CHOSE NOT TO RETURN BY MAIL THE SECOND CARD CONTAINING THE AMENDMENTS.
It’s a shame that a misconception in the process gets into cyber space and can never be corrected. The orginal article that started this was corrected but too late now for total correction.
Hopefully we’ll be getting results before too much longer. They have to hand count the 304 ballots because of a write in candidate on them. Depending upon if the write was for president or some other office they may not change the results of the totals in the 18th CD.
I would also like to know what was in the two boxes brought in yesterday that they found in a high school gymnasium and elsewhere.
I would also like to know how Gertrude is more popular than Obama in St Lucie -- getting 10,000 more votes than he did while her opponent got 15,000 less than Romney.

Our voting system is crazy. And they are talking about electing the President by a popular vote. Given the extent of the country. you know what a mess that would be. The different departments of the Federal government don’t even have a common method for checking out security risks.
