What’s SNL?

SNL is Saturday Night Dead. I once watched it for a little while because freepers talks about it so much, as though it counts. I literally almost puked it was so fetid. I had to turn it off, and quickly took a shower, because I felt dirty after watching it even for just a short time.

That so many of us pander to them, shows how low our view of ourselves have become. People who think that they like to watch such debauched, drivelly, foul, putrid and stinky garbage must be dead eyed zombies. My words cannot express how nasty, in a just plain discusting way, that show is. There aren't enough ghastly adverbs in the dictionary to cover it.

For real humor, that doesn't go for the cheap dirty jokes, try Tim Hawkins. You can check him out on YouTube, but I recommend his DVD. You'll laugh non-stop for an hour.

The big plus is that he comes from a Christian background. It comes through gently. He even pokes fun at us, but when he does it, it's actually funny. It's not mean-spirited.

I HIGHLY recommend it as a gift to Christian and non-Christian teens and twenty-somethings. Tim shows that Christians can be "cool." And that's important for teenage evangelization.
